A/N:
So the picture I attached of Halsey is supposed to be what Cat looks like. She's ultimate goals. Enjoy!"So, we're going to need you to come down to the studio ASAP," Pete said
I was sitting cross legged in front of my laptop, on Skype with Pete Patrick Andy and Joe, trying not to hyperventilate.
"Just so you know what's going on," Patrick added, smiling widely.
"Sure." I scratched at the back of my head, feeling hot all of a sudden.
"When's a convenient time for you?" Joe questioned.
"Anytime at all. I have nothing to do now that..I'm not an athlete anymore." I pressed my lips together, suppressing my innermost thoughts of discontented sadness.
"In that case, how about this afternoon? That way you can meet us all at the same time." Patrick asked.
I nodded happily, and they proceeded to agree a time and gave me the address of their studio.
"We'll see you then, Catherine," Pete said, grinning at the camera.
"Please, call me Cat. Only my mom calls me by my full name." I blushed.
"Cat. That's an awesome name, it really suits you. She has cool hair, doesn't she 'Trick?" Pete nudged Patrick's shoulder, smirking at him.
"Y-yeah?" Patrick glanced at Pete with a perplexed expression on his face.
I laughed and thanked the boys, before disconnecting the call.
I decided to start getting ready now, since I was determined to give them a good first impression.
I opened my wardrobe, half expecting the right clothes to just fly out and land on my bed. I rifled through some clothes, tossing them aside recklessly until I decided on a suitable outfit.
I slipped on my black v neck with black high waisted jeans and a leather jacket paired with some beat up Doc Martens. Basically, I was head to toe shrouded in black. Finally I put on some light makeup and I was ready to go.
I sidestepped out of my room, and walked into the kitchen, praying nobody would be there. I spotted the keys to my mom's jeep on the kitchen counter and snatched them, twisting around and getting ready to sprint for the door.
"Put the keys down, right now." Called my mother, from somewhere upstairs.
I groaned inwardly, and slammed them down.
She padded down the stairs and looked me up and down disapprovingly.
"Honestly Catherine, I'm starting to wonder when you'll grow out of this black phase." She muttered
"And did you really think I'd let you drive yourself?"
My mind flashed back to the time I had swerved to avoid a pigeon on the road and crashed into a tree, which then fell on another car.
I shuddered, shaking the memory off of my conscience.
"Come on, now tell me the address" she motioned to the door.

"So the man I spoke to yesterday is from that band you have posters of in your room?" My mom raised he eyebrows at me.
We were parked outside the studio, 20 minutes early.
"Yes," I sighed "but please don't mention that if you meet them,"
