Shit. "Bye, need to go", I said to Finn. "But we just got started...", "I know but Chloe needs help". "K, see you later I guess..", replied Finn all sad. I felt kinda bad but Chloe needed my help. I hopped in my old, ghetto truck that my dad gave to me. I started the car and bolted down the street.

Thank God Chloe's house isn't that far from Blackwell. She's actually pretty lucky that she doesn't have to rent a dorm. She actually gets privacy. As soon I reached her driveway, I hopped out of my car, slammed the door and banged on the front door. "CHLOE, OPEN THE DAMN DOOR!!" I screamed. Chloe opened the door and said relieved,"Max, thank God, it's an emergency"."What do you need?", I said all worried as I gripped her shoulders."We...we ran put of chocolate pudding..". "Jesus, Chloe..." Chloe was strangely addicted to chocolate pudding. I always find empty containers in her room with at least 3 spoons."So you made me come all this way and ditch Finn just be cause you ran out of chocolate pudding?". "You were hanging out with Finn? When are you gonna make a move, like you guys have been best friends for like way too long.", replied Chloe. "Shut up, besides, I don't really find ourselves being a couple after being friends for so long. "Whatever.", said Chloe. "Hey, can you drive me to the store to get some more chocolate pudding? I'll promise we can get Starbucks after.", Chloe said with a smile. Crap. She knows my weakness. Despite being friends for so long, I haven't really told her about my Starbucks addiction. I couldn't pass it up. I rolled my eyes, "Fine, but you're paying."

We went to Walmart and bought about 8 packs of chocolate pudding. I wanted her to get a lot because I don't want her to bug me or scare me like that. Then we went to Starbucks, just like she promised, and I got hot chocolate. We also found ourselves driving towards the beach of Arcadia Bay. Occasionally, Chloe and I drive there to take a little stroll and look at the amazing sunset. Besides, it was gonna be Monday and this is the last day of the weekend. Once we parked, we got out of the truck and I quietly sneaked in a photo for my wall. I know how much Chloe hates me taking pictures 24/7. "I say we go up that trail to the lighthouse. I'm pretty sure we can get a cool view of everything,"said Chloe. "Alright, i'm down." Going up that trail wasn't that hard surprisingly. It looks as steep as Mt. Everest, but in reality, it's fine. Once we reached the top, we sat down on a bench and stared off into the sunset.

"Do you ever think that life is strange? As if, this is all a dream or we only came to this earth just to suffer?", Chloe said as she pulled out a cigarette from her pocket. "Were you thinking about Rachael Amber again?" I hugged her because Rachael Amber was the girl that magically disappeared from Arcadia Bay. Chloe and her were the best of friends and to have that be taken away from her made my heart wrench. It's almost as if everything is being taken away from her, her dad, one of her best friends, and now it might be her courage to carry on in this world. I stopped hugging her and looked at her. Baggy eyes, light blue hair, the sense of style. Where has the old Chloe went? Does she still exist? "Chloe, we'll find her. We all can find her.". "Sure Max. It's been months and the police has done nothing but put up posters and ask questions. They can't get up from their lazy asses anyways.". She was right. The police seems as if they almost didn't care at all. "I'll help you.", I said with confidence. "I can't put up with this anymore either. Starting tomorrow, we can start gathering up suspects and evidence." Chloe looked at me with surprise and confusion. "Max... I don't know what to say.."."You don't have to say anything.". We both hugged. This was a promise that I can't break. And to be honest, I actually wanted to start looking. I was sick and tired of seeing Chloe suffer. This is it. Starting tomorrow, the search begins.
