"Class is over, Jaren" I heard someone say. I quickly jolted my head up and quickly wiped both sides of my cheeks to see if there was a chance that I drooled, and not to boast or anything, but there was. After being sure that there was no dry marks on my cheeks, I started to look around, only to find it empty, even Pete, the boy who slept throughout every single one of his classes, was gone.
"Class ended 10 minutes ago, and I already sent a note to your next teacher, so I'll advise you to go to class quick, you know very well that mrs Johnson doesn't like late students"Mr. Lerner said from the back of the class, where his desk was, working, probably our homework. I never gave him mine.
"It's okay, you can submit your homework after school" Mr. Lerner said as if reading my mind. I quickly thanked him with a nod of my head and took my bag then headed for next class.
As soon as I was in the hall, it wasn't completely empty there were still three students. Ken, Craig and King. The punks. The troublemakers. And to top it off, my bullies. They were standing a few lockers away from the class I was supposed to be in. Physics. I was planning to quickly make my way to class and be as slick as I can. But since I am a prone to bad luck. They called out to me."Hey, look it's the mute kid" King said slyly and started to approach me with the rest of the crew. I tried to walk a little faster and get into class but I was pulled back by the hood of my hoodie being held . And since I'm quite light and don't do much work out. Actually I do none. I fell to my bum.
"Ah, ah, ah, you're not going anywhere" King tasked and the other two laughed. The other two grabbed me and pulled me up against the lockers.
"You know you can't defeat us so stop fighting it" he said very near to me. He was close to me. With his legs wide. I had two free legs. This was my opportunity. I brought my feet up and hitted him hard where no male wants to be hit. Out of anyone's instinct, he quickly held his crotch with his hands, and groaned.
I tried to escape but the other knuckleheads were having a tight grip on me."Don't let him go" King said starting to get up and approaching me with a red face out of pain and anger.
"You shouldn't have done that kid" King said furiously then punched me in my stomach. Over and over. He didn't stop any sooner. 10 hits. It kept on adding and it felt like it went on forever. My stomach started to hurt so much it started becoming numb and I felt like I couldn't feel my feet anymore, but the two held onto me tightly and made sure that I stood straight. It went on like that and I was slowly starting to see dots in my vision.
Until I heard a familiar voice."Hey, you there!" the person said, I couldn't figure out who it was, my vision started to become hazy and my mind blurry.
"Quick! Let's run!" King said to the ones holding me. They followed his orders and took off right behind him.
"Hey, come back here" the person said, as if that would make them stop. I recognized the voice as a male. I heard the steps coming closer and was feeling too weak to stand up from the ground, I continued laying on the ground until sports shoes were in my view. Those were the last thing I saw but the last thing I heard was,
" It's okay Jaren". Then I was out.
3rd POV
Jaren was picked up by the boy. Since Jaren wasn't that heavy, it wasn't that hard to carry him. The infirmary wasn't far, so the teen put Jaren's hands over his back and onto his shoulders then took his foot, just like a piggy back ride, only the rider was unconscious and the piggy was strong. The teen was able to reach the infirmary without problem.
The teen released one of Jaren's leg to open the door and called out to the nurse."MOM" he shouted looking around for his mom.
"Sean, that you ? I told you... Oh my goodness" The nurse stopped talking once she saw Jaren's limb body on her son's back.
"What happened ?" She asked.
"He was being picked on by King and the rest. And I have a feeling it wasn't their first time" Sean answered his mom and putted Jaren on the bed.
"Poor boy" the nurse said.
"But I don't get why they would mess with a boy who's new" Sean asked curiously and oblivious to Jaren's status as being 'The mute guy'.
"What ? Who told you he's new ? Sean, he's been here for two years, he is made fun of because of his quiet ways. He doesn't talk" the nurse said checking Jaren's injury and looking through the first aid kit and taking out bandages. It finally dawned to Sean. That was why the boy hadn't answered him or accepted his aid to show him around. Now that he thought of it he does remember few of his classmates talking about a mute guy.
"What was his name again ?" Sean said his thought out loud.
"Jaren. Jaren Clistel. There. All patched up" the nurse said proudly drawing the attention of her son. He looked up at the still unconscious Jaren.
"Is he gonna be okay ?" He asked looking at the boy's face.
"I think so, he was just a little weak all he needs to do is rest then I think he'll be fine" The nurse answered packing her first aid kit.
"You have P.E now, you should go, you can come after school he'll probably be awake by then" the nurse said putting back the kit on the shelf.
"You're probably right, I'll come by after soccer practice." Sean said taking one more look at Jaren and leaving to get to class.
Sean's mom-the nurse- was in the care of Jaren until he woke up. She took it upon herself to inform his teachers that he wouldn't be in class. That was Jaren Clistel's everyday life as a teen. And he still doesn't know the meaning of life.
Hi so how was this chapter. Sorry again for not putting James yet. But there was some Sean. Why do you think he stared at Jaren a lot ? Even though I think we all know why, hehe. I hope you stay tuned for more and like and comment and suggest. And that pic is of Jaren with the hoodie. But I don't know his name. Could anyone help. Isn't he cute.
Love me.
Peace out mabasy.
