*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*

"Ugh..." I groaned and rolled over in my bed.

*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*

"Shut UP!" I groaned again, this time reaching over and slamming the snooze button on my alarm.

But then, my eyes shot open and I sprung up in bed, coming to a sudden realization.

"IT'S MY FIRST DAY AT THE TONIGHT SHOW!" I screamed.

Immediately, I jumped out of my bed to start my morning routine. I ran straight to the bathroom to turn on the shower. I don't know why I'm rushing around so much, I still had plenty of time, It was only 4:45 and I didn't have to be in until 7. I guess it's just because I'm a mix of emotions. Nervous, excited, anxious, and again, nervous!

I took a nice hot shower to calm some of my nerves. I lathered my body up in vanilla scented body wash, and proceeded to shampoo my hair with the same scent.

"Gotta smell good on the first day..." I thought to myself.

After my shower, I brushed my teeth, and up next on my morning to do list was my hair. Oh, my hair. What would I do with it today? I want to look good, but not like I'm trying to hard.

I decided to just blow it dry and straighten it really good. I applied some light makeup to my face and a soft pink lip gloss. Pretty, but not over doing it. Perhaps I'm worrying too much about my appearance today, but honestly, I feel like it's the first day of high school or something. These butterflies in my stomach don't help either.

Next, I had to decide on an outfit. I went with a navy blue pencil skirt, cutting off a little before my knees, a white button up shirt, and a matching navy blue blazer. I paired it with some heels and a gold necklace. Looking in the mirror, I felt good and confident.

I checked the time, and it was only 5:30, I got ready much more quickly than I thought, probably because I was running around like a maniac. So, I decided to try to calm down some more by watching some Netflix on my laptop while I eat some breakfast.

I fixed myself up a nice yogurt parfait with strawberries, blueberries, and granola in it. I also had some toast with peanut butter and a coffee. I ate and sipped my coffee while watching some Breaking Bad on Netflix. Once the clock struck 6:00, I decided to gather my phone, purse, laptop, and bag of various office supplies I figured I may need at my desk. Then, I locked up my apartment and went downstairs.

When I got there, Rusaf was waiting outside with a cab, much to my surprise. I didn't expect him to be chauffeuring me around anymore. I guess Lorne was kind enough to have him scheduled to pick me up for my first day. I proceeded to walk outside and greet Rusaf.

"Hey Rusaf! What a surprise... Good morning!" I said cheerfully.

"Oh yes, good morning Ms. Brooks. I will be escorting you to you're job for the first week, as per Lorne Michaels request. Hop in!" He said, opening the cab door for me.

"Thank you very much, but I told you, call me Gabby!" I shouted playfully at him, with a grin.

"If you insist Ms.-- Gabby." He corrected himself last minute, earning a chuckle from me.

He got in the cab and started to drive, and we just made small talk along the way.

He must have noticed I was tapping my feet and fingers anxiously, because after a while he asked about it.

"Everything alright? You seem nervous."

"Yeah.. I mean, I'm very nervous. And excited. Mostly nervous. Ugh."
