CHAPTER 2
Aphrodite
"Ayo Aphro; wake your ass up child!" I groaned at the sound of my best friend, Samantha's voice as she continued to attack me with a pillow.
How did this heifer get in?
I sat up shooting her a questioning glare while yawning in the process. "What you doing here?" I finally asked analyzing her in confusion. I know this heifer ain't hop through my window. I lived on the second floor. So how the fuck, my eyes widened in realization when I remembered I had given her my spare key, which I specifically told her to use for emergencies only. I've been wondering why every time I come home from work it look like my nay had been drunk and my bed had been laid in. Now I see. I shook my head at her and rolled my eyes.
"You owe me a bottle of Chardonnay. You thought you were slick coming into my house and drinking my juice while I was at work. Nah homie, you lost your mind! What time is it?" I questioned fixing my bun. I tend to shift a lot in my sleep so I guess my hair tie loosened.
Sam gave off a fake 'bitch you thought' laugh as she checked the time on her HTC touch. "It's 7:30. Why?" Ignoring her question I hopped out of bed and went into my bag, getting out the gift I had bought for Jamie after work. It was a Super Stadium Baseball Game. I remember back when I first started teaching his class at Hope Academy, I had my students introduce themselves to me and the class by telling us about their likes and dislikes amongst other things. Jamie had mentioned he like baseball so I thought this gift was perfect for him.
"Hey do you mind wrapping this for me?" I asked, more like demanded Samantha to do. "I think I have some wrapping paper around here. Look in my desk drawer." I added without giving her a chance to speak. I could tell she was annoyed with me by the smacking sound she made.
"Bitch got me working on a Saturday," I heard her mumble. Bitch should've never come here, and then I inwardly laughed as I went into my closet. After a few minutes of pondering, I picked out a burnt orange colored bodysuit along with a pair of mom jeans.
I placed the outfit on my bed along with my Calvin Klein undies before making my way into the bathroom. Switching on the water I maneuvered the handles so the temperature was right and hopped straight in.After a good 30 minute shower, I moisturized my body and got dressed. I also noticed that Samantha wasn't in my room anymore but Jamie's gift was wrapped. Shrugging, I then slipped on a pair of Arizona sandals before applying nude gloss to my lips. I smiled to myself, don't I look good, I mused as I assessed my attire in my standing, full length mirror that sat along the wall on the right side of my bed.
"Yass girl! Lesbihonest now, if only I swung that way." I joked to myself. Damn I was looking good. I feel like Beyoncé: I'm feeling myself. I laughed once more and rolled my eyes at my own childishness. Let me get my tail out of here before I start using my bedroom voice on my reflection. Lord knows there's no going back from that. With that in mind, I grabbed my clear Aviator glasses, phone, keys and Jamie's gift before heading out.
