Let's get into the story,
The soft evening light filtered into the room, painting everything in a warm, quiet glow.
Saakshi stirred slowly, her sleep fading as her eyes fluttered open. For a moment, she lay still, adjusting to the unfamiliar calm around her.
Her gaze shifted instinctively.
Shivu was still asleep beside her.
But Shravan wasn’t there.
A faint crease formed on her forehead.
Before she could think further, the bathroom door opened. Her eyes moved toward it and stilled.
Shravan stepped out, drying his slightly grown hair with a towel.
For a second…
She just looked.
Really looked.
Her gaze lingered, starting with his face.
The faint stubble along his jaw… the way it sharpened his features… the quiet, effortless calm he carried.
Her eyes softened without her realizing.
Then slowly, unconsciously her gaze drifted.
Taking him in the way she used to… before everything broke.
There was something dangerously familiar about it.
The way he stood.
The way he moved.
The way he didn’t even know she was looking.
Her breath slowed.
And for that brief moment—
She forgot.
Forgot the anger.
Forgot the betrayal.
Forgot everything she had promised herself not to feel.
It wasn’t forced.
It just… happened.
Like her heart had slipped back to where it once belonged.
His damp hair fell loosely as he dried it, the slightly grown strands brushing against the back of his neck—
And that’s when—
Her gaze caught it.
The scar which she already noticed few days ago. It cut through her thoughts instantly.
Running from just below his hairline… along his nape… fading near his shoulder.
Even his hair couldn’t hide it completely.
Saakshi blinked.
The moment shattered.
Reality rushing back in.
A doubt slowly crept in—was everything connected? The tattoo… the scar… and the way he seemed to belong to this place.
Shravan continued searching for his t-shirt, but his attention shifted when he heard Saakshi mumbling under her breath.
His brows pulled together slightly.
“What are you talking to yourself like that?” he asked, glancing at her with mild curiosity.
Saakshi, lost in her thoughts, didn’t respond immediately.
For a second, she considered it—
Asking him about the scar.
But she stopped herself.
Even if she asked… he wouldn’t tell her.
Not now. Not when he was clearly hiding it.
