I carefully opened the box snapping out of memory lane and a huge smile grew across my face. I looked down to see a shiny silver microphone with "friends forever" etched onto the side. It was beautiful. I had always loved music since I was a kid, you could say it even saved me, and I loved singing. I didn't think I was any good but my family and Sam thought I was amazing. I always believed they were just being nice.
"I love it," I told Sam looking up at her.
"Yeah?" She smiled looking down at her hand. She was holding the charm I got her in her hand examining it more closely. It was a silver flower with dark pink petals. She had always loved flowers. She would always draw, paint and take pictures of them any chance she got. It was also the same flower that Calum picked for her a week after meeting her. I figured she got my reference because she looked up with tears in her eyes, "Scar, I- I love it so much" she told me, pulling me into a hug.
"I'm glad," I smiled wiping a tear from her cheek.
"Turn yours over," she instructed me wiping away the rest of her tears.
I gave her a confused look but did what she asked. I had to take a second look to make sure I knew what I was seeing. It was the five tally's that the boys, 5 Seconds of Summer, used as their logo. I felt tears pricking at my eyes as I looked up at her. "Thank you," I whispered not trusting my own voice at the moment. We haven't seen the boys in two years and we lost contact with them about five months after they went on tour with One Direction. We never knew what happened, we just assumed they forgot about us and met other people. We tried to contact them or even keep up with them, but eventually we just gave up. We were just people they used to know now. I took it the hardest out of the two of us considering I have known the boys since I was born. I shut down and didn't talk to anyone for over a month until Sam finally got me back on my feet and helped me move on. I still miss them like hell but I actually haven't thought about them recently until now looking down at my new charm.
"I guess we had a theme again?" Sam laughed lightening the mood.
"Yeah I guess so," I laughed with her. We always somehow got each other similar things and I guess this year was the boys. "Thank you, for everything" I thanked Sam in a serious tone.
"It's just a charm," she replied putting her rose charm on her bracelet.
"Not just the charm," I rolled my eyes putting mine on my bracelet also, "For getting me back on my feet, for helping me to move on and let go," I explained further.
She just smiled at me and grabbed my arm, "that's what friends are for," she gave me a side hug, "we should really get to class now," she told me looking around.
I closed my locker realized that the halls were empty. I guess I didn't hear the bell which is surprising since it's so loud. "Yeah," I sighed. I wasn't in the mood for school today but I had three days left of school, I could do this.

So I read over this part and thought it was good enough to upload tonight also. I'll try and write more tomorrow. Hopefully it goes as planned and the boys come in very soon, I'm still trying to figure out where to take this story. So I hope you guys are enjoying it so far, thank you for reading! :)
