Vivienne's POV

I rushed into the backstage to see Rose crying.

"What happened?! Rose? Are you okay?" I rushed to take a seat next to her.

"I-I fell when I did my pirouette. I failed to do my pirouette! I failed! I failed Viv! How am I gonna face the others?!" Rose held my shoulders, shaking me, eyes crazed. She was also shaking from the embarrassment.

Tears started to form in the corner of her eyes and I hugged her.

"What happened, Rose? You were so good at spinning like a top. What happened?" I caressed her back as she was still shaking.

"I-I t-tried to lose weight, I thought Miss Lyla would like it if I lost weight. I guess I got carried away. I got so dizzy and I fell." She sobbed into my shoulders.

"Shh, stop crying, you'll get your makeup--"

"HEY! LET'S GET GOING PEOPLE! CODA'S STARTING AND I WANT EVERYONE BY THE ENTRANCE! GOT IT?!" Miss Lyla roared to all the dancers.

We stood up, fixed ourselves, and went to the entrance for the coda.

We went outside and I did my curtsys, bowed to the audience.

"I would like to start giving out the certificates to particular ballerinas for their outstanding performance. All audience please settle down." Miss Lyla's assistant announced and handed the microphone to Miss Lyla.

Then I heard some whispers from the back.

"I don't think Vivienne will get a certificate of anything. I think she would get a certificate of participation." Joanna snickered.

"Neither do I, she's the worst."

"Yeah, I agree."

I just continued similing to the crowd like I didn't hear anything.

"First off, I would like to give a certificate of bravery to Rose, for not stopping her dance even if she fell. Congratulations Rose,"
Rose smiled big, shook Miss Lyla's hand, got her certificate and went back into line.

"Second, I would like to give a certificate of gracefullness to Joanna,"
Joanna partly screamed and took the certificate, shook Miss Lyla's hand, went back into line, and stuck out her tongue to me.
I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"Lastly, I would like to give a certificate of versatility to Vivienne, as she is fit for any dance and any genre. I would also like to announce that she will be promoted to Ballet 2B, Vivienne's parents, please prepare her gray uniform as she will be using it next week. Congratulations, Vivienne."
That's when I heard Lance's whooping and clapping.

"GO VIV! I'M SO PROUD OF YOU!!!" Lance shouted as people shushed him.
I shook my head in embarrassment as I went to Miss Lyla, shook her hand, and took the certificate. When I got back into line, Joanna had her mouth widely open with her eyes twitching. I just smiled and presented my certificate for the photographer.

"Thank you all, and have a good night." Miss Lyla finally ended the recital.

I went backstage and changed to my casual clothes. I got my bag, and as I was about to leave, hands grabbed my shirt and pushed me to a wall. I think my head's gonna bleed sooner or later.

"HOW DID YOU GET ACCELERATED?! YOU PAID MISS LYLA DIDN'T YOU?! DIDN'T YOU?!" Joanna screeched.

"Okay, first of all, get your filthy hands off me, I'm getting dirty, second, I DID NOT PAY HER! GET IT?! NOW GET OFF ME!" I pushed her away, cleaning myself from her filth.
She grabbed hold of me and punched me at the face. I think my nose is bleeding now, yeah, it's bleeding.
She punched me repeatedly at the face, and I got dizzy.

"STOP IT! IT'S NOT MY FAULT I GOT ACCELERATED, IT'S NOT MY FAULT THAT YOU'RE NOT WORKING HARDER AND YOU'RE NOT GETTING ACCELERATED! OKAY?" I shoved her off me and went outside.
I applied concealer to my face as it was full of bruises, but I didn't mind.

I went home and went to bed as soon as possible.
