She Doesn't Recognize Me (Eleven/Rose)

Chapter 1

I am alone. I am traveling through time and space with out a companion. There is no one with me and I feel so lonely. But I will survive.

The TARDIS lands with a crash. I'm in London, England, the year is 2014. I strut out of the door and look around. Good old London. 

"Doctor!" I heard a familiar voice shout. My hearts leapt with joy and pain. I'd know that voice anywhere. It's Rose Tyler. I turned to greet her, then saw she wasn't talking to me. Instead, she was talking to the human Doctor she had left with so long ago. This saddens me, but I realize I should've known when I first heard her voice. "Look at this!" Rose and the human Doctor to a big window of a store.

I knew it was stupid. I was being very stupid. But I couldn't help myself. I walked to the same window.

"Hello!" I said.

"Hello!" the human Doctor said back.

"Hi!" Rose waved. "Who are you?"

Pain lashed through my hearts. She didn't recognize me. The girl I loved didn't recognize me.

But she musn't see the pain in my eyes.

"Uh, John. John Smith." I introduced myself.

"Nice to meet you John Smith!" Rose smiled. I love her smile.

"Hey Rose! Look what's over here!" the human Doctor said. Rose ran after him without giving me a parting glance.  I stared after her, all the sadness her presence brought crashing down on me. 

But it wasn't all pain. There was the memories of happiness, all the good times we'd had. Her laugh, her smile, all those adventures we'd shared. I smiled to myself, then turned on my heel. I took a deep breath and walked, I don't know where. Somehow, I knew a terrific adventure awaited. One always did.

Perhaps Rose Tyler and I would have one last dangerous adventure together.

If only she knew who I was...
