Serenity went back for Inuyasha to save his life. Darien still tried one last time to go get her. But he placed his coat on her and forgotten that he put the most expensive diamond necklace in the pockets of the coat. Which he put the coat on her. So, he sent his hired man to go get it back. But it ended with Inuyasha and Him having a one-on-one and he fought pretty hard to protect Serena, so in the end Inuyasha killed Jackal. And they both ended up going down with the ship together, Serena made Inuyasha promise not to throw his life away either, so they were to go together.
But once they sank into the ocean. Inuyasha managed to get her to a floating door just big enough for them both barely. So, he was willing to kill anyone who dared come any closer. So, he also pushed for her to never give up hope, to always keep fighting no matter how hopeless things might get. Never let go of that promise. So, they both were scared they'd not make it past this night.
Kagome feeling horrible because she couldn't do anything to save those out there right now. So, let's begin where I left off at.
As people were still screaming out for help and hoping the boats will come back.

As an hour later, most of the people in the water had died from the cold. As a recuse boat was looking through the crowd of people trying to find any survivors at all left.
An officer kept shouting out Hello...! Can anyone hear me...! Is anyone alive out there...! Kept repeating himself over and over again and again.
Meanwhile Inuyasha was sort of fading away a little bit for a temporarily, He was frozen over cold he was basically dying he was sort of between life and deaths doors right now.
He was in a weird place, but he had remembered it once before, it was a gate way between the two worlds of life and death.
