Beauty in the world is found
In seedlings breaking through the ground,
In birds soaring through the rain,
In sun overlooking grain.
It's treetops swaying in the air,
It's wind tousling your hair,
It's grass growing from the soil,
It's the crinkling of foil.
It's in the clang of pots and pans,
In the beat of hearts and drums,
In how water's murmur soothes,
In the tap of cloven hooves.
It's in cars' and motors' roars,
In throats screaming out new songs,
Flowers budding in the spring,
Autumn mushrooms in a ring.
Beauty a good eye can find
In one's very state of mind;
Love, loss, happiness and pain -
How they're never much the same.
Beauty a keen eye can see
In just being you and me.
