I saw him first

Chapter One: How it all Began

So it all started with Riley's first subway ride, I was trying to show her how to be free, not so well daddy's girl, that was when I first laid eyes on him. He had been sitting by himself, and was well, godlike. Crazy since we were all still middle schoolers. She couldn't keep her cool, but again I was trying to set her free.

So I did what I always did, I went with the flow. We dated all of a minute but I was trying to break the barrier for her. Too bad I opened up this twisted hard pathway for all three of us. If I had know , I would've stopped me, I would've prayed for me to just ignore the gorgeous boy, to just let Riley stay in her safe bubble. But I was maya hart, the rebel, the wild child. So of course I couldn't let that happen.

And now I had to watch them make silly faces at each other realizing much too late, that my heart had chosen him.

Present time

We were on the subway again, like everyday on our way to school, and Riley was talking about, you guessed it, gorgeous subway boy. So walking to class, it was easy to block out her awkward ramblings.

Sitting down watching mr. Mathews talk about boring things such as the civil war I started to space out, when he walked in. Subway boy. I automatically looked over at Riley and we both said overly loud to each other.

"It's subway boy" mr. Mathews started to freak out.

Which gave me such pleasure I couldn't hold in my smirk and giggle. But that seemed to drag subway bogs attention to me. He smiled, his eyes holding the recognition, and he gave me a little wave. So I waved back.

"You. Who are you I don't know you" mr. Mathews says looking paranoid.

"Hi sir, I'm Lucas Friar from Texas" he says shaking mr. Mathews hand.

I let out a small sigh at hearing his amazing voice. But I quickly realize that Riley has let out a much louder one and all while gazing at the beautiful Lucas.

"Ah no ah no" mr. Mathews growls seeing his daughter in a daze.

"Maya do something" he says pleading.

Me being me I just smile before winking even though my heart was sinking.

Lucas went and sat behind Riley, though mr. Mathews is looking frantic, staring at Lucas.

"Man you are good looking" he says before standing in front of the class.

"Well this won't do, maya you switch with Riley."

I roll my eyes and groan but in reality I'm ecstatic I get to sit in front of lucas! Maybe now he'll notice me.
