Chapter 3

"Dad, can I get a lip ring?" Leo asks.

Before Luke says anything, Leo continues.

"Because I wanna be like you. Alex got to dye his hair red like his dad, so I wanna get a lip ring like you. Can I?" Leo asks.

Luke starts thinking, biting his lip ring.

"Go ask your mum." Luke says. "And if  she asks, I said yes."

"Thanks dad." Leo grins, walking over to his mum.

"Mum, can I get a lip ring, like dad? I'm older than when he got it, and Alex got to dye his hair red like his dad like his dad. Please? Dad said yes."

"Fine." His mother, June, heaves. "I still can't believe Christina let her son die his hair red. Just don't get your lip infected. You're gonna need it for kissing Abby." June smirks, making kissy noises.

Leo groans, walking back to his dad.

"She said yes." Leo grins.

"Then let's go!" Luke exclaims, grabbing his wallet and keys.

Clara rushes back to her and Abby's shared bedroom.

"Abby, get this. Leo's gonna get a lip ring." Clara bursts.

Abby's eyes widen. That's one of the things Leo was missing.

"Wow. Oh my god. That's amazing. Do you know how amazing that is?"

Clara nods.

Alex bursts into the room.

"Oh my god Abby guess what I-" Alex starts.

"I already told her." Clara says.

"That she'd look really good with light pink hair and new Leo and her would look really good together like that?" Alex asks.

"No. Leo's getting a lip ring like his dad." Clara says.

"Even better! Abby, I already asked your Dad. He said yes. Let's go!"

"He said yes?" Abby shrieks.

"Yes! Are you deaf? Now let's go!"

The whole family group (besides Abby, Alex, Clara, Leo, and Luke) were all chatting when Leo and Abby stumbled into the house together, Clara and Alex behind Abby and Luke behind his son.

And both had something different about them

Abby's blonde hair dip dyed into brown was now a light pink, and Leo had a black lip ring, like his dad.

Abby and Leo were staring at each other, the family inside the house looking from the pink haired girl to the lip ring boy, and Alex, Clara, and Luke were laughing about everyone's reactions.

"H-Hi." Abby stutters.

"Hey. Your hair looks really good." Leo compliments.

Abby plays with the ends of her hair. "Thanks. I like your lip ring."

Leo plays with his lip ring. "Thanks. Hey, I'll see you later?"

"Y-Yeah. I guess." Abby stutters.

Leo waves her and walks upstairs with his dad.

Abby turns around to face Alex and Clara, wide eyed.

Alex and Clara laugh at her face.

Abby feels someone touching her hair and immediately turns around.

She sees her dad, playing with her hair.

"It looks really good honey. Good job, Alex." Ashton says.

"Thanks Ashton." Alex says.

"Why did you let our daughter dye her hair PINK?" Jennifer shrieks.

"Jenn, you need to let the child take risks sometimes." Ashton says.

"Next thing you'll know, she'll be dropping out of school because her band got famous." Jennifer says, glaring at Calum and Michael.

"Mum. Calm down. If my band ever got famous, I'd take online classes. And shouldn't you be freaking out over Alex and Leo? Alex got his hair dyed too, and Leo got his lip pierced."

"That's Christina and June's job." Jennifer says.

"I didn't do anything, it was all Michael." Christina says.

"I think lip rings are hot, and I want my son to be hot. End of story." June says.

"Bye mum!" Abby says, dragging Alex and Clara upstairs.

"She's so annoying." Abby complains.

"Same." Clara says.

"Oh well. What can you do? Let's just prepare Abby for tonight." Alex says.

"Oh good lord save me." Abby whines.
