When Angela woke up the next morning it took her a few seconds to remember why she was in the unfamiliar room, as she blinked wearily at the green tinted walls surrounding her. When the situation really sank in again, she brought her hands to her eyes and groaned. The pressure from her hands made her eyes ache but it helped her to keep track of the situation.
Finally, Angela sighed and climbed out of bed, moving towards the bathroom. Since there were no windows in her room, Angela had no idea what time it was but she could guess that it was early in the morning. She had always woken up before her parents and they had a running joke about it at home.
Angela sighed as she stepped into the shower. She already missed her mum and dad and it hasn't even been a day. Who knew how long she was supposed to be staying with Gabe for. The thought of Gabe brought her teeth down tightly, there was obviously something wrong with him, but that didn't mean that his threats were empty. She'd already seen him put an entire room full of people to sleep, Angela didn't doubt that he was capable of killing someone if she didn't cooperate.
Of course, she had still had a laugh with him yesterday evening, Angela snorted, remembering. It would be insolent to think that Gabe was only capable of being insane. There was so much more to his personality than that, Angela of all people should know that, people had always assumed things about her before taking the chance to actually get to know her.
Angela shook her head which caused the droplets of water running down her face to fly around her. She almost laughed when she realised that she had spent the last through minutes just standing under the running water and thinking. She quickly lathered some shampoo and conditioner into her hair and stepped out into the modern bathroom, actually looking around for the first time.
Everything was smooth and shining, the height of technology. But as Angela looked around at the gadgets and the smooth surfaces she realised how much she preferred her own bathroom with the miscellaneous stains and broken taps to this unfriendly room. Nevertheless she simply sighed and brushed her teeth before wrapping a towel around herself and stepping into her room to look for some wearable clothes. It was then that she realised something.
"Gabe?" She called, knowing that he would easily hear her from the next room.
She heard a thump and a groan through the door before a slumped figure appeared in the doorway.
"What sorry arse excuse for a time to wake up is this?" He grumbled, struggling to open his eyes properly "You're like a bloody bir- whoah you're not wearing any clothes." He quickly looked directly at the wall behind her head, avoiding making eye contact.
"I'm wearing a towel." She snapped. "But that's what I wanted to talk to you about anyway, where are my clothes?"
Gabe's eyes flickered over to hers for a second before fixing themselves firmly on the walk again as he said "How about in the wardrobe?" In the most scathing tone he could manage.
"Did you get them from my house or something?"
"Some of them, yes. But I couldn't get too many without your parents becoming suspicious so a lot of them are new. Now if you don't mind I'm going to go in the other room now." And before Angela could say another word he left the room, closing the door behind him. Angela sighed, glaring after him before going over to the wardrobe on the opposite side of the room. It was full of every brand if every type of clothing possible, some of it was just ridiculous. Angela spotted what she strongly suspected was supposed to be a top but just looked like a scrap of material, she snorted and sifted through the tremendous amount of clothing before pulling out a pair of jeans, a bit too tight for her liking and covered in tears and ladders which seemed a bit revealing to her, and a comfy t-shirt. As she was looking around for a jacket to wear over the top of it she heard the door open again.
