Ben stands in the middle of a carnival in Philadelphia, where he winds his arm back, readying a ball to knock down the miniature head-busts at a carny's game.

Ben: Bottom of the ninth, two out, full count. Tennyson winds up, and...

Ben throws the ball with full force at the piled up busts, hitting them square on, but they only wobble.

Ben: No way! This game has got to be rigged. I totally nailed Ben Franklin!

Clerk: Knock over the Ben Franklin's, you win a prize. Knock over squat, you win squat.

Wade: <grabs another> watch and learn, Ben. You need to work on your throwing arm.

Wade tosses the ball up and catches it as he threw it and knocked over the piled up busts.

Wade: just like that! Another!

Clerk: <groans>

Ben walks off to Max and Gwen as he left Wade and Hope together.

Ben: You'd think in the city of brotherly love, they wouldn't cheat at the carnival games! At least Wade can knock them over.

Max: That's the way life is, Ben. You win some. You lose some. Wade's favorite carnival games were those because he can always knock anything down.

Gwen: he has great aim.

Max: Now, come on. You can't visit Philadelphia without seeing the Liberty Bell.

Max starts heading over while Ben chats to Gwen.

Ben: If I just went hero, I'd win every one of those stupid games.

Gwen: Sure. Use the most powerful device in the universe to cheat at Whack-a-Mole. Real nice. Just let Wade help you practice, he's good at almost every carnival game, you have no idea how many times he's come home with a bag full of plush toys he gets from carnival games.

Ben; does he cheat?

Gwen: no, it's just he put his training onto the games to win them easily. Not sure if it counts as cheating.

A truck horn honks as it drives through stalls and heads towards Ben, with the Liberty Bell in tow.

Ben: <gasps> Whoa! Not good.

Ben is tackled out of harm's way by Max, with Gwen too, as the truck pivots and drives off.

Max: They're getting away with the Liberty Bell!

Ben: Not if XLR8 has anything to say about it!

Max quickly covers Ben from sight as the Omnitrix's green flash envelopes him.

Gwen: Evidently, he doesn't.

Gwen and Max see that Ben has transformed into a very disappointed Grey Matter.

Ben: Oh, man! <looks at a "Test Your Strength" machine> get Wade!

The truck does a U-turn as police cars pursue it from their exit. Ben hops to a nearby "Test Your Strength" machine's bell.

Ben: Give me a lift.

Wade grabs the mallet and hits the bell first time, sending Ben flying up and onto the truck with the Bell on it.

Ben: Ohh!

Ben clambers inside the truck and messes with the machinery inside, loosening axles and pulling wires. The truck swerves out of control as a result and rams into a pole, sending Ben flying out and into a jelly-bean container shaped like an upturned bell.
