two teenage boys are riding snowmobiles, one of them crashes on an ice rock. Suddenly, the ground rumbles below the first Teenager and the ice ground rises down. The other Teenager laughs at him, then he jumps into the small ice hole, first Teenager scruffs away some snow, and he accidentally finds a strange pod. When it opens, a repitilian alien comes out, making the two teenagers run away.

???: The Omnitrix.

At a park

Gwen is playing with a kite, Ben as Wildmutt then turns up and he grabs Gwen by the back of her shirt.

Gwen: what are you-?

Gwen screams as Ben throws her on his back and starts running, Gwen saw she was still flying her kite, she laughed at this as Wade and Hope saw them. Hope was holding Rip and looked at Wade who was smiling at Ben and Gwen getting along.

Hope: everything you ever hoped for?

Wade: it's a start. Glad they're not overly hostile anymore, it gets annoying after a while.

Hope: slips here and there?

Wade: yeah. But no need to dwell on the negatives for now.

A few minutes later, Ben, Gwen, Wade, and Hope and walks up to Max. The kids in front while the teens behind them.

Gwen: <chuckles> Hey grandpa, check this out!

Max seems to be staring at something or someone.

Ben: Hey grandpa, what's wrong.

Max: Oh, nothing, nothing. I'm fine, I just need a little time to myself, that's all.

Gwen: <grabs Ben's arm> No problem, we'll be at the playground. <pulls Ben while walking away>

Ben: Hey! That hurts!

Ben and Gwen are then sitting on the floor outside of the playground. Wade was in the monkey bars watching Hope trying to do them with Rip at his side.

Ben: What's wrong with you? You could have just asked me to follow you.

Gwen: our mom told me that grandpa and grandma Verdona met in St. Louis.

Ben: Yeah, so?

Gwen: So, being here reminds him of grandma, I think he's feeling lonely.

Ben: How can grandpa be lonely when we're around him all the time?

Gwen: Even you can't be that clueless.

Wade: <walks over> I think what Gwen means is that Grandpa is feeling lonely as in he misses grandma. She's no longer here so... the one you love who you vowed to be with for the rest of your life is now gone, it's like a piece of you is gone. He's lonely in the sense that he will be alone without someone to love just as much as he loved Grandma. Imagine how your dad would feel if your mom suddenly was... gone.

Ben: oh.

Suddenly, kids at the playground then scream, and run away from something, Ben, Gwen, and Wade go to investigate, then the reptilian alien turns up. As soon as the reptilian alien sees Ben, she uses her telekinesis to lift Ben.

???: The Omnitrix, where did you get it? Answer me!

Ben: Yeah, that's a long story, <activates the Omnitrix> but the short answer is...

Ben then slams the Omnitrix and transforms into Heatblast.

Ben: Doesn't matter, 'cause you ain't getting it!
