ARIA POV
Genuinely too petrified to move for that split second we just stood there.
It looked me dead in the eyes and I felt hypnotised, it was so close I was now able to spot every single detail on its face and body.
The beast was covered head to toe in fur; it didn't look like a normal werewolf though, not like what Scott looks like. It's fur dark as the now black sky and it reaching to a height of around 7 feet tall.
It's unpalatable mouth now open, causing it's saliva to drip down to the beats chin and then on to the ground below it, right by its claws. The creature breathed heavy and loud, it's teeth on full show; gleaming white and as sharp as daggers.
Finally, looking to its most noticeable feature- it's glowing, blood-like red eyes now huge and bulging, burning holes into our skin as it never did stop watching our every move.
It glared at me and I swear it could see through my soul.
Suddenly it licked it's lips and I snapped out of my daze as if someone had pressed play on me, grabbing Melody's arm I begin to shout.
"RUN! WE HAVE TO RUN!" I yelled at her as I began to drag her backwards away from the tremendous beast.
If that didn't snap her out of her daze then the roar that the beast let out as I began to pull her definitely did!
I never thought I'd think this to myself but I'm so glad that there weren't any people around, they would have been first on this bloody beasts list to eat and I could have never lived with myself.
Running into the school, going round corners and running down corridors until we couldn't hear it anymore, we ran into our history class and locked the door; breathlessly we sat and listened with our ears pressed against the door.
After about a minute of hearing nothing I looked over at Melody, trying to catch my breath as I spoke.
"I think we lost it!' I said still panting but able to put my thumb up to her. "How can you be so sure!?" She asked nervously.
"Because I can't see it? Nor can I hear it!"
"Thats not what I meant!" She replied with a slight giggle, rolling her eyes at me. "We need to get out of the classroom and find the boys before the beast comes back here, it could come round the corner and sniff us out any second! We have more chances of surviving if we keep moving" Melody continued. Nodding my head in agreement "Which direction?" I asked.
"Somethings telling me we should go straight..." Melody said already walking forwards.
She had already made it out of the school by the time I was able to comprehend what she was doing and chase after her.
"Wait!! Hold up? Melody wait!" I said jogging to catch up. I looked at her and she seemed hypnotised, she had this weird look in her eyes, like she was seeing something but nothing was actually there.
"Mel? What are you looking at?" I questioned following her gaze.
Then I saw it.
Staring straight at Melody, the beast seemed as if he were reading her thoughts; vice versa' Grabbing her arm for the second time I tried to pull her back so we could run away but just like earlier she was completely hypnotised by the monster. She then did something bizarre and confusing.
She screamed...
Melody screamed so loud I thought my ears had burst. That's when the thing broke it's contacted with Melody, making a grunt almost as if it were in pain.
The creature then composing itself looked up and straight at me, deciding that I would be his next suitable target. I will not show weakness I thought to myself as it began to run towards me.
STILES POV
Nobody running, screaming or crying, this was a first. I was shouting my friends names again in the hope that finally I would have struck some luck but again nothing. What if I never find them? I thought anxiously to myself. "Where the hell are they?!" Another question span around my head. Pondering over my thoughts I didn't hear the footsteps but almost had a heart attack when someone grabbed my shoulder.
I turned around with no hesitation shown and was about to do the only thing a human like me could do and that was punch the person in the face but the person was Scott; I lowered my fist hastily.
"Jesus man! You scared the shit out of me" I cried with trying to steady my heartbeat regain normal breathing. "Im sorry dude! Are you okay? Have you found them?" Scott said in a panic almost as if he has been dying to speak to someone for days instead of hours.
"No bu-" And that's when we heard it.
A scream so loud Scott doubled over in pain and sunk to the floor. My hands flew straight to my ears, trying to protect them from the sound. The aftermath was worse, once the screaming stopped we knew exactly who it was and it worried us extremely.
It sounded like she was scared out of her mind..."Melody"... We both whispered aloud.
Both without even asking each other we bolted to where it came from.
MELODY POV
It was looking me straight it the eye holding some kind of connection towards me.
However much I tried I couldn't look away. I heard Aria and I felt her pull on my arm but it felt like there was a steal chain holding me to the floor.
But I wasn't me anymore, I was it! An alpha
I screamed.
Louder than I have ever screamed in my life.
Suddenly stopping i couldn't seem to feel my legs anymore and I sunk to the floor, when I looked up I was in a daze of unconsciousness and consciousness. I noticed the alpha has gotten over the pain in which I caused and had a new target in sight.
The alpha... now running towards it's new target and that was Aria.
Growling and snapping as it went, she tried to turn and run but it was too late it had leaped onto her like prey, sinking its teeth into her side causing her to collapse to the ground in a heap. I could barely keep my eyes open and just before the blackness took over my body I could hear the quiet patter of footsteps as they ran towards us.
The world then went black.
