What? Where am I? Beast Boy? She rubbed her eyes and sat up. "Why am I in the hospital?" Raven looked around. She looked down and saw that she had a needle punctured in her, supplying her food. There was also pain in her chest area, back and head. She saw Garfield sleeping on a chair beside her bed, looking terrible, if she may. The clock on the wall infront of her read, 1:17 AM. "What happened?" Raven questioned, looking back down at her injuries. She wasn't sure what to do now so she gently shook Beast Boy to wake him up.
"Yeah, Nurse? She's still asleep." Beast Boy sleepily said, not even opening her eyes. "Hey, it's me." Raven softly spoke, partly because her throat was dry. "Me?" He raised his eyebrow and opened his emerald eyes. "RAVEN!" He got up as fast as Kid Flash and hugged her. "God, I missed you." His voice started to croak. Raven heard him have a few sniffles and hugged back. "A-Are you crying?" She whispered, followed by a giggle. "Well yeah, I haven't actually talked to you in 4 days." He pulled back and had a weak laugh. "Four days?!" Raven exclaimed. "Yeah, your fight against your brothers really impacted you." Beast Boy replied, carefully holding both her hands. "But don't worry, all the doctors say you're healthy and nothing's wrong." He smiled, softly. "But if nothing's wrong, why was I asleep for so long?" She worried. "That's kind of what we were wondering, too. We don't actually know why you were out for so long." Beast Boy scratched the back of his neck.
"Oh..." Raven closed her eyes and rubbed her forehead." It must've had something to do with my Azarathian side. Like my half-demon, emotions-always-to-be-controlled side." She gave a long sigh and laid back down.
"Beast Boy? I have to go in for our routinely check." There was a soft knock on their door and a young, brunette nurse came in. She carried a clipboard and a pen and checked the machines, taking notes and checking boxes. "Excuse me, Nurse, but your patient is, you know... awake now?" Beast Boy said, holding Raven's hand. "Oh! I'm so sorry about that." The nurse put her clipboard down and asked Raven a few questions. Questions like how she was and if she was feeling any pain. "It could just be muscle sore though and I could heal it myself. So, it's no big deal." Raven gave a weak thumbs up, reassuring the nurse. "Alright, Raven. Even if you seem fine, the doctor will still visit, just to be sure. And if you need anything, you could just press this button." The nurse pointed at a little remote attached to the small table that can rotate on top of the bed and left the room.
"So how's everyone?" Raven asked Beast Boy, who was now moving the couch closer to her bed. He put on the side and sat down comfortably, "Well besides being worried, everyone's fine. We haven't had any serious missions the past days, just bank robberies."
"That's good. Now how about you? You look... well... sleep deprived." Raven pointed out, hoping she didn't sound that rude. "Well, that's true. I've been watching over you since they put you here. That's why you had to wake me up awhile ago." He blushed, slightly embarrassed. Raven just looked at him with an "awweeee" face and gave him a quick kiss. "Thank you.""Hearing that, you should probably sleep now. I'll go to sleep, too, so you don't have to worry." She squeezed his hand and laid down. "Night, Rae." Beast Boy kissed her cheek and got comfortable on the couch. "Goodnight." Raven smiled and closed her eyes.
~morning~
"Oh, Raven! How wonderful to see you again!" Starfire flew to her and gave her a huge, lung-crushing hug. "Back at ya, Star." Raven managed to say, hugging her back. Cyborg, Robin and BB were out buying some food for all of them. "I hope you are feeling the happy now that you are awake. We have all missed you terribly." Starfire sat on the couch. "I am feeling much better. And of course I've missed you guys, too." Raven sat up, stretching her arms after. "What time is it?" She asked the bubbly alien, blinking her tired eyes. "It is the half past 9... in the morning." Starfire said. She sat back down and told Raven stories about what she missed.
"Waddup, Rae! We've missed ya!" Cyborg opened the door, walking in with some Ihop take out. "So I've heard." Raven joked and stood up to hug them. They all gathered around her bed and ate their breakfast. "Man do I love waffles." The half-demon devoured them. They all laughed and continued to eat. "Raven, do you know when you could go out yet?" Robin asked, throwing his plate in the trash. "I was hoping you guys would. Ugh, I can't wait to get out. I feel fine! Well, besides the fact that I haven't showered yet. " She rolled her eyes. Cyborg chuckled, "Don't worry, you'll probably be out by tomorrow." Raven shrugged and pulled out the book that she requested them to buy for her.
Beep. Beep. Beep. All their communicators rung, alarming them for a new mission. "Store robbery. This'll be quick." Robin closed his communicator and the 4 of them were off. Raven didn't mind being alone so she decided to meditate. She opened her blinds and sat facing the window. It was a bright and sunny day in Jump City, so why not take it as an advantage? Raven closed her eyes and began to recite her mantra. "Azarath metrion zinthos, azarath metrion zinthos, azarath metrion zinthos." A few more "AMZ's" and she was back in her mind.
