Chapter 10: Getting Ready

Robin's POV

Starfire's eyes sparkled like never before and her smile was as beautiful pearls. I handed her my gifts and invited her to a dinner that'll begin at 7:00 PM in the new restaurant located in the heart of Jump City. "Mezzo", supposedly meaning "middle" for being in the middle of the city and an Italian restaurant.

"May we have a date of the double with Raven and Beast Boy?" Starfire requested.

"If they want to go."

"Friend Cyborg, prehaps?"

I obviously wanted it to just be us but the more the merrier, right?

"Of course, he could bring Bee with him if he'd like." I answered.

She smiled and quickly knocked on the rest of the team's doors.

Starfire's POV

I first knocked on friend Raven's door.

"Greetings friend Raven!" I greeted.

"Hey, Star. What's going on?" Friend Raven asked.

"I am the pleased to invite you to the date of the triple."

"A triple date? With who?"

"Friend Robin and I, you and friend Beast Boy, and Cyborg and Bee"

"Oh of course, when is it?" She blushed.

"It will be at 7:00 PM today in the 'Mezzo'".

"Oh okay. Thanks for the invitation."

"You are the welcome."

I have asked the other boys and they have agreed to me. Now it is time to get the ready. I entered my room and carefully opened the box friend Robin gave me. There was a folded piece of the purple fabric and a pair of what the humans call, shoes. I gently pulled the fabric out and it was actually a very beautiful purple dress. I put on the dress and it was a strapless, mid-thigh dress that had the flounce from my waist down. It had bizarre cuts on the side showing the sides of my tummy. I fit the pair of the sparkling silver tall shoes with a stick at the bottom (high heels) which were a bit of the difficult to walk on. My hair did not match the outfit so I decided to do the "curl".

Raven's POV

My room was a disaster. Piles and piles of clothes were spread out on my floor, my bed wasn't even seen anymore. How do I even have so many clothes when I like to wear the same outfit? I franctically searched through the piles of abandoned wear on the ground looking for a dress to wear later. Ugh... why is this so complicated? Out of desperation I finally decided to ask Starfire if she had any extras that hopefully, isn't bright pink or purple.

"Starfire? Can I come in?", I knocked on her door.

"Oh yes, you may come in, Raven." She agreed.

I opened her door and saw her curling her hair with a purple flouncy dress which I'm pretty sure Robin gave her.

"Hey, umm.. would you maybe have an extra dress that I could borrow?", I quietly asked.

She paused and turned to me with a huge smile on her face, "Of course, friend Raven!". Starfire stood up and opened her closet door. I sat on her bed patiently waiting for the dress. She pulled out a beautiful black dress that shimmered like the stars in the night.

"Here is the dress, I have saved it to give it to you on the day of your birth! But it seems to be that you are in need of it today." Starfire handed the dress to me.

"Wow, Starfire, its beautiful! Thank you so much." I hugged her and I got ready in my room.

I put the dress on and looked in the mirror. The dress was a long, sparkly gown that was tight on the torso but flared from the waist below. I opened my dresser and took out a ruby necklace with gold accents that had a similar look to my gem that my mother gave me before I left Azarath and put it on. For my shoes, I had a pair of gold Louboutin heels that I purchased for a evening dinner the mayor invited us to a year ago. Luckily, it still fit. I tied my hair into a bun and pulled out loose hair to make it not so structured. I didn't tie my front pieces of hair back so I curled it to make it look fancy (?). I finished getting ready and headed out. Before I could open my door, Starfire came in.

"You look the gorgeous, friend Raven!", Starfire looked at me like I was someone else.

"Thank you , Star. So do you." I smiled

"Are you finished getting the ready?"

"Yeah, in fact I was just about to head to the common room."

"Oh glorious! We should go down together!' Starfire requested.

I agreed and we walked into the common room.
