155: Incomming Chaos

Izanami's departure didn't make much of an impact in Konoha. The festival continued for another two days before the heat died down.

The normal citizens went about their everyday life, the ninjas went to work, and the children went to school as usual. Everything was running smoothly.

At least that is what it appears to be on the surface.

Inside the Hokage Office, Tsunade, with dark circles under her eyes, looked at the never-ending mountains of paperwork with utter despair.

For her, one of the legendary Sanin, these past two days had been the worst days of her life.

Although Tsunade knew that Izanami's departure would make some ripples inside Konoha, she never expected things to go out of control like this.

Just a few hours after Izanami's departure, Tsunade, who was just about to crack open one of the gifts Izanami left to her, was startled as Shizune entered her office with a panicked expression.

And it was from there that Tsunade's days of utter torture began.

With Izanami's absence, the yokai members who were previously keeping things under control began to retreat back. So all the troubles that should have happened long ago began to pop up.

And this left Tsunade so overwhelmed that she had to stay in her office for two days straight. From budget problems to major complaints, Tsunade had to handle all these problems.

"Damn it, when can this hell ever end?" Tsunade asked in despair as her body trembled. Her body was now nearing its end. If she continued to work like this, then she would definitely collapse unconscious.

'How ironic that I, one of the legendary Sannin, would one day die of overwork instead of dying gloriously on the battlefield, ' she thought with a wry chuckle.

Just as Tsunade was filled with despair, the door to her office opened, and a rather energetic shout came.

"Tsunade-baa-chan, I brought you breakfast." Naruto, with his usual sunny smile, barged into the office without knocking.

Tsunade who was tied immedietly got up and ran towards him and hit him in the head with her iron fist of love, knocking the poor boy into kissing the floor.

"Damn you, brat. How many times do I need to tell you not to call me baa chan? " Tsunade roared as she breathed heavily.

"But that's what big sis Izanami said," Naruto grumbled under his breath as he stood up unharmed.

Yes, with Izanami's training and Kurama's full cooperation, Naruto's physical fitness and pain resistance are top-notch. And what's more, before Tsunade's attack hit him, a thin layer of wind chakra appeared around him to cushion the blow, making it more bearable for him.

It could be said that Naruto, with his restrictions off and with proper guidance, is a complete freak in the eyes of the ordinary ninjas. This guy is a genius in his own way. If we talk about physical strength and chakra control, even a jōnin would be pale in comparison.

But that's only taking into account physical strength. In terms of ninjutsu and other fighting styles, Naruto is still like an ordinary child.

As for why he has poor ninjutsu talent despite having excellent chakra control, well, that's due to the fact that Naruto would have to customize ninjutsu for himself to use.

So all in all, Naruto's reputation as a dead last in the whole class is still something he would have to accept even in this reality.

Of course, unlike in the original story, where he got deadlast due to zero theoretical skills, now Naruto can at least read and write and, most importantly, use high-level ninjutsu. The only reason why he is still deadlast is because the ninja academy doesn't accept using A-rank or higher ninjutsu as tests.

So ironically, Naruto is dead last because he can't use low-rank ninjutsu properly.

"So kid, why did you come here looking for me? " Tsunade asked as she began eating the bento Naruto made.

Yes, in this timeline, Naruto can cook, and his cooking skills are even highly praised by everyone. Well, his father was also a good cook, so it seems Naruto must have inherited this from him. After all in the original timeline, Naruto didn't even have any ability to get cooking ingredients, much less cooking on his own. So this talent was buried for life.

"Well, Tsunade-baa-chan, I was worried about you, so I came," Naruto said with a sheepish smile. Well, he wasn't lying but wasn't speaking the whole truth.

The reason why he came here was because he got a system mission telling him to help Tsunade solve the impending crisis. And for this mission, there is even a reward of 10 different types of extra-rare luxury ramen.

While she certainly liked the extra help, she knew she couldn't actually ask Naruto for help. Not to mention he was too young to even understand this work; most of these documents here are highly confidential documents, so even if she wanted to ask someone, she can't due to secrecy.

Naruto scratched his head, hearing this.

'Damn it, I knew this mission wasn't easy. How could a mission that issues 10 rare luxury ramen be a piece of cake,' Naruto thought inwardly as he began to rack his brains on how to solve this problem.

As he was thinking of a solution, his eyes wandered down, and a smile appeared on his face. He might have just found a solution for this.
