I always envied the Lockwood's, specially since their lands were the best of the best in Mystic Falls.

It made me remember Andrew Lockwood from the 1860's. If not a friend, we somehow were acquaintanced due to me compelling one of the Founder Families, the Forbes (after getting rid of their vervain, of course) and passing as a friend of the family. It was easy to figure out their little furry little secret, always keeping a leverage over them by giving them an sweet warning of what would happen if they tried to hurt me or something  (not lime they could but better pretend). It was good neither Andrew or his family never found out about my undead status.

I shook my head lightly, chuckling a bit to myself snapping out of memory lane as I stood outside the Lockwood's household. I blinked at the structure, eyeing it with slight uncertainty wondering how hard would it be to get inside without bringing suspicion to myself.

I brushed a strand of my auburn wild hair behind my ear as I politely smiled at Carol Lockwood as greeted her guests. She was human as far as I could tell, "Good evening, Mrs Lockwood"

The woman shamelessly judged me with a look up and down my body and the temptation to rip her throat out felt present with me clenching my fists slightly, keep the vamp at bay, Klar. "Evening, Miss..."

"Masen" I supplied, dipping my head slightly to the side, "I'm new in town. That's why I'm probably an unfamiliar face" I said calmly with a pleasant smile

Carol furrowed lightly her eyebrows with a nod of her head, "Of course. Welcome to Mystic Falls"

"Thank you" I grinned slightly, pleased. "Your family does host a promising celebration" I commented looking over behind her shoulder at the people inside while fidgeting with my fingers, waiting for the word "To socialize and get to know better what this town has to offer"

Carol smiled slightly wider, "And who am I to stop you from that? Come in and please enjoy the party"

A small gush of air passed before me letting me know the magical barrier was lifted. A small smile graced my face

"Why, thank you" I sweetly smiled, courtesying as of thanks. "You can call me Klary, Mrs Lockwood"

Carol chuckled shaking her head as I walked past her, "If my son or his friends were such as behaved like you, a girl so much younger than them" she sighed smiling slightly

Centuries of practice, Carol. Centuries

"My parents taught me well" I replied smoothly as I waved a bit

"Have a nice evening" Carol waved me away with a smile as she began greeting other guests.

I took that as my cue to look around for the doppel-bitch while reminiscing about the first Founder's Ball when little George Lockwood's brother Andrew invited me to keep me quiet over his family's secret. A small smile tugged up the corner of my lips as I raised a glass of water to my lips.

My hazel green eyes snapped to one direction when my ears perked up at the familiar petty voice of Caroline followed by the cocky-bitchy one of Katherine's. It was unmistakably hers. Not Elena's. Elena's was slightly more kinder. My grip tightened slightly over my glass but not enough to break it. I carefully took a deep breath, lowering the glass before quietly following after the voices, staying hidden while I heard with a glare how Katherine and George had been in position of the moonstone. All this time...?

Andrew and his brother played me after all. Bastards. That's why you can never thrust a Lockwood.

I passed a hand through my hair feeling frustrated as I licked my lips. She was screwed. Katherine was sinking lower and lower on my hate. And I shared a very deep hate, not only by my heightened vampire side, but the other one. The one I held a love-hate relationship.

After I made sure the Salvatore's got what they wanted and had Kath unconscious and where she belonged, as I heard Damon say, the party turned boring so I left.

As soon as arrived home, I picked up my phone and dialed Annika's phone.

"Annie at your service, dear Klar"

"I found it, Anne" I exhaled sharply, waiting for her reaction

"Seriously?" Annika sounded shocked, "What were the odds? What about the Doppelganger?"

"She exists. She's here as well" I replied licking my lips, "The ritual is so ready to be done"

"But..." Anne sensed on my hesitation, "what it is?"

"Should we let Klaus be his one true form? After all he's done to us?"

It was something I had started wondering over the last few years. I knew Elijah wanted the best for his brother. We all did at one point but sometimes I wondered if he was worth enough of that power to hold if he was going to abuse of it. To hurt our family.

"I can't answer that for you, sweetheart" Anne said carefully. "As a witch I should be against that, something completely unnatural and be stopping you from even being near that girl and the moonstone. But I am staying away from that because I know that's something between you and your family and because believe it or not, I'm your friend"

I let out a small sigh, looking towards the ceiling in thought, "I'll call Elijah. Thanks for hearing me" I hung up without waiting for a response, deep down thankful for her loyalty and how she cared.

I dialed Elijah's number and waited for a few seconds before he picked up, "Dear Klarysse. What do I owe for this pleasant call?"

I fought back a small smile, "We should meet" I blurted out, clearing my throat afterwards. "I mean, it's been 10 years. You can clear up a bit of your schedule for me"

Elijah stayed quiet for a few seconds before letting out a chuckle, "For you of course. But it'd have to be tomorrow morning"

"I don't care. Anytime soon is fine by me" I smiled slightly, "There's something I have to tell you"

"So am I" Elijah's reply was simple and quiet letting me know how serious it was

"See you tomorrow then, Elijah"

As Elijah hung up, a frown appeared on my face, glancing at the clock

"Katerina... wait for it because, Here I come"
