"Heart of Darkness"

There were still missing some White Oak stakes that we needed to destroy so instead of following Rebekah to a school dance, I opted by doing something productive.

I walked inside the Boarding House, walking past the living room, seeing a White Oak stake and picking it up with a smile "Easy as to take candy from a baby" I murmured to myself, chuckling. I tuned my hearing, looking for Stefan, knowing he had the other missing stake, hearing him and Alaric Saltzman talking, following their voices toward the basement, walking up to a cell, eyeing them in amusement, "This is depressing, isn't it?"

Stefan and Alaric looked up, seeing me at the doorway

Stefan seemed surprised and somewhat concerned, "Klarysse"

I tilted my head in acknowledgment, showing them the stake "I found this upstairs. Now, according to Klaus, there should be one more"

"Yeah, well, it's going to take a little more time" Stefan told me

I frowned, lowering my hand with the stake down, "Why? Because we're waiting for that one to pass out?" I pointed at Alaric with the stake having heard them talking about Alaric having some kind of evil alter ego who hated vampires and had the last stake. Convenient "No, thanks. I think I'll just kill him"

Stefan sighed, "Well, then you won't know the location of the other stake and Klaus will kill you"

I rolled my eyes "I can live with that and take care of Klaus myself, thank you very much"

I moved forward but Stefan stopped me

"Well, I can't" Stefan told me. "When we staked Finn, we discovered that killing an original vampire killed its entire bloodline" my expression hardened when he mentioned Finn, staring at him coldly "Now, I don't know which one of you I'm descended from, but I'd really rather not find out by dying, so why don't we just find the stake, destroy it so we can all be safe?"

I looked at him in amusement, "So the fate of the entire vampire race depends on you finding the stake" I looked at Alaric "And to get it, we need you to pass out. Which means that I feel totally justified doing this" I rushed past Stefan towards Alaric, snapping his neck. Alaric fell dead on the ground. I chuckled, looking up at Stefan innocently "There, sleeping like a baby"

Stefan glared at me

I smiled

Waiting in the living room for Stefan finding out the location of the stake and who they were descending from was boring.

It didn't take long before I noticed a shift in Alaric's voice, tilting my head curiously, sipping a drink, sending a text to Klaus and Rebekah to come

They didn't take long, walking inside the Boarding House, joining me in the living room.

I smiled, putting a finger to my lips, pointing at my ear and then down, telling them to be quiet and listen.

They nodded in understanding, tuning our hearing to Alaric and Stefan

"Where's the stake?!" Stefan asked. Alaric didn't answer. "I'm going to kill you in 3... 2...1"

There was some grunts and slashes, probably from torture making me slightly impressed, looking at Klaus, mouthing 'Not bad'

Klaus chuckled silently.

"It's in the cave" Alaric answered, laughing "Where no vampire can get it"

Stefan walked to the front door, his phone in his hand, stopping when he noticed us

I smiled "That wasn't to hard, was it?"

Klaus and Rebekah also smiled

Rebekah went to the basement for Alaric while Klaus poured himself a glass, offering me one. I showed him mine, not empty yet. Klaus raised an eyebrow in amusement

Rebekah walked in, dragging Alaric

"It's a little gratuitous, don't you think, Stefan?" I told him, looking down at Alaric, smiling "I would have been more gentle"

"I'm going to take him to the caves "Rebekah told us, looking down at Alaric "You're going to go inside and fetch me the stake. And if you think you can hide, you're wrong"

Rebekah grabbed Alaric, walking away, out of the living room and the Boarding House.

"I think I'm going to leave" I told them, standing up with a sarcastic smile "There's too much testosterone in here, too much for a sixteen year old girl"

"You can't be mad forever, love" Klaus told me

I rolled my eyes "Watch me" I told him, walking past him "Goodbye, Stef. Pleasure doing business with you"

I walked away, leaving the house not wanting to deal with their dramatic issues.
