Wendy's POV:

Where's Romeo? He said we will wait for me at the lobby. I fidgeted around, feeling really awkward because a few boys my age just strolled in and hooted. Awaaaa, im scared!! I scootch toward the front desk in case they are coming to me.

My flowery sandals that Lucy-san picked out for me felt a little uncomfortable, since I never wore them before and their new. "Looking good makes you feel good," Lucy-san stated. I felt nowhere close to good.

Just then, the elevators door ringed open and out sprinted Romeo, his face magenta and huffing.

When he saw me, he grinned and came over to me.

My eyes narrowed at him playfully.

"Didn't I tell you never to be late?" I growled, making him flinch.

"E-er... Sorry Wendy...h-ha...haha...my dad was making me put on sunscreen?" He tried, obviously not working.

I laughed, loving watching him nervous. He looked even more confused and I laughed harder.

"Pffft, can you not realize the sarcasm?" I laughed.

"Of course I did! I was just um kidding along!" He stammered, slightly blushing.

"Sure. Well, come on lets go to the Tar Beach!" I started walking up the stairs.

"Um, Wendy? Where are you going? The beach is that way." He pointed outside the door.

I giggled, saying, "Tar Beach is when your on the roof of someplace and theres a party where everyone parties and has fun like at a beach."

"OF COURSE!!! I just forgot," He blushes a bit again.

We run up the stairs and went to the rooftop. I looked around and saw everyone there. Its beautiful and looks magical up here!

"Waaaaaaaaaah~" We both exclaim.

Lucy's POV:

I took a cup of fruit punch and sipped. Ahhhhhh, so refreshing. Its gonna be a amazing night, I can feel it.

Next to me, Natsu and Happy gobble up cupcakes, cookies, candy, macaroons, you name it. Crumbs are flying everywhere.

"Ewww, NATSU, YOU IDIOT STOP EATING SO FAST!!! ITS DISGUSTING!" I groan.

"...mf..its..mrff..goodd..!!" He says in between bites. No, not bites. Monster-compared gorging.

Ick. I shuffled awaaayy from him.

"BOOOM!!!"

I jumped like 10 meters high, screaming. Are we under attack? Whats happening??

"BOOOOOOOM!!! fizzle fizzle"

Boom fizzle fizzle? That sounds like...

"Luce!! The fireworks are starting!!" Natsu cheers.

I look up just in time to see a purple-yellow firework explode into a million shimmering lights.

This feels magical.

My friends around me. In the coolest place ever. In a Tar Beach. Looking up into the evening night sky and watching beautiful fireworks.

How could anything be any more magical than this?

It did.

Natsu out of the blue just says," Stay with me forever, Luce..." Looking up into the dark sky above us.

Another firework exploded and lit our faces bright. More kept booming and cracking and we just stood there, unable to say anything.

Did he really just say that?
