Erza's POV:

I knew Mira was watching every move. So i just pretended to be asleep so I can see what she does.

I hear a giggle and slowly, slowly turn my head sideways, as if i was in a trance and need a comfortable position.

Mira smiled at Laxus and they gazed at each other. Laxus snaked his arm around Mira's waist and she giggles and blushes. She scotches closer to him and their legs were touching. She starts leaning onto his shoulders and Laxus leans closer to her so they are practically hugging or shes on his lap.

I redden myself and shiver a bit. I glance at Jellal, who was still sleeping on me, and sigh.

Fine, I admit it. I like him. I like the man who almost killed my friends and I. But I don't know if he likes me back.

As I look back at Mira and Laxus, I found them gazing at each other again while still cuddling. They get closer, and closer and closer and...

Their lips slowly touched.

Laxus POV:

Mira leans toward me and I obediently lean toward her too. I push her hair back and she hugs my neck.

Then we kissed. Her kisses had a tingly feeling to it. I grab her waist and made her sit in my lap. She leans down and pushes me against the sofa and kisses me gently, at first.

It then became more passionate, and more harder. After a minute, we parted and she looked down and blushed.

"Its okay Mira, I feel the same. Don't need to be embarrassed," I whispered into her hair.

She nodded. We cuddled for the rest of the night.

Time Skip~Next Morning

Levy's POV:

Gajeel is as cold as ever to me still. Why is he so angry? Did I do anything?

Right now, he's pacing back and forth, grunting every few seconds. Lily and I exchanged glances. We sighed.

Our door bursts open and in tumbles Lucy.

"Come outside to see the fireworks!"

"FIREWORKS???" Gajeel and I yell.

"Why is there fireworks today?" I ask.

Lucy grins,"Its July the 4th today, remember?"

"Oh right."

We geared up with watermelon, chairs, sunscreen, and water. I myself wore an dark blue flowing evening dress with a huge purple flower at my waist. My hair is tied up with a small blue clip, along with silver sandals.

Lucy wore a light pink gown with no straps that ruffled down barely past mid-thigh. She had gold láme sandals on and her hair swiped to her other side in an french braid.

As we walked to the rooftop of the resort, everyone has already gathered there. I followed their gazes and suddenly a huge BOOM sounded.

I gasped and tripped. I prepared for the hard floor to hit.

Instead of the floor, i felt warm, huge muscles catch me. I turn to see Gajeel staring down at me.

I blush.

"Its only fireworks, Shrimp," soothes Gajeel.

"Its still loud and scary." I retort.

I don't know if I heard properly, but I think he said," I can protect you...."

Huh?

"What did you say?" I ask, leaning over to hear better.

"Nothin.." he turns away.
