Chapter 12- The Race

Juvia's POV:

Ahhhhh, yesterday was pure bliss! I stood up and stretched.

"Are you awake Juvia?" Gray appears in front of the bedroom.

"Hai, Gray-sama," I reply, " Are we going to the beach today?"

"According to the others, yeah," He confirms.

"Okay!" I nod and grab my outfit for today: A light blue swimsuit with a skirt as the bottom with a beautiful flower at the waist area. On top I put on a see-through white shawl. I put on a seashell ankle-bracelet I found at the giftshop in the boardwalk.

I looked at myself and smiled. I look nice and ready for a day at the beach!

I met Gray at the kitchen room and he prepared bacon, eggs and waffles with maple syrup. Theres was a plate of strawberries in the middle of the table.

"You look nice, Juvia," complimented Gray-sama.

"Thank you!!" I squeal. I've completed my goal: to impress Gray-sama!

Anyways, we finished breakfast and met the others downstairs. As a big group, we trudged to the beach with all our things. Lucy and I set up the umbrellas for shade and towels.

"Hey y'all! You ready for some motorboat racin'?" A buff guy with sunglasses on came up to the group.

"RACING!! YESSSS!!!" Natsu shouts and punches the air.

"The rules are, No blowing up the motorboat itself, but magic is allowed. There will be partners and you can choose whatever you want to do. One person can steer, and one can do magic."

"Here are the partners. Erza with Jellal. Lucy with Natsu. Gray with Juvia. Gajeel with Levy. Mira with Laxus."

Everyone nodded thoughtfully. Of course Erza's going to be the one attacking and Jellal's going to steer. Natsu's going to attack. Lucy steer.

"ALRIIIIGHT!! IM ALL FIRED UP!!!!" Natsu yells at the top of his lungs, causing people to stare at them. I blush at the thought of being in that group and people thinking im that crazy.

"Partners! Go choose a motorboat! I will be waiting at the finish line at the end of the race trail!" He gestures behind him.

Everyone got into a boat.

"Should I be the one attacking?"asks Gray.

"Sure!" I exclaim. This is going to soo fun!

"Partners! On your mark, GET SET, GOOOO!!!!!" He yells and blows the whistle.

We took off, with Erza and Jellal in the lead at once.

I decided to start off like a rocketship. "Ice Make: Floor!" Ice spread everywhere in the others paths except for ours. And Jerza's, since they were going way too fast.

Everyone yelled and shouted. Some of their boats tumbled and spun across the ice like hockey pucks.

"Heheh," Natsu grins evilly," FIRE DRAGONS FIST!!" He melted his own path and took off. Gale and Miraxus was a little behind Nalu. Us, Gruvia, were pretty far from Jerza with Nalu on our toes.

Mira got onto her boat and changed to her Satan Soul form. She made explosions that were green and made everyone's path blurry. Since she was half-demon herself, she could tell Laxus which way to go.

Juvia will not let Gray-sama do this all by himself! "Water Lock!" I cast on them, not letting them go.

But they struggled and broke free with their own magic. I didn't use my full power, since they were my comrades.

Levy's POV:

We were last! But we can try not to be last. It sucks.

"Gajeel! Take over steering! Ill cast magic on them so they can't move from my runes!" I cry, switching spots.

I cast a rune which lets them go in 2 minutes. By 2 minutes, we catch up the group.

"At least if we lose we won't be too far behind?" I try, laughing.

"Gee-hee. Its fine, its just for fun. Although I do prefer to win." He chuckles, going back to attacking.

Natsu goes," FIRE DRAGONS ROAR!!" Boiling the water, making our engines stutter a bit and slow down from the intense heat.

By this time, we can't even see Erza and Jellal's motorboat anymore.

Gajeel changes his entire arm into a metal pole, swirling the water faster and faster, creating large waves and mini whirlpools.

The other groups' boat were shakily moving forward and rocking back and forth at times. We were literally on their heels now, fully caught up but still last.

We can see the finish line at this point. The two, Jellal and Erza, was already waving and cheering.

"C'mon!!! We can DO THIS!!" I urge him. We've come this far! We can-

Or not. Natsu uses his Fire Dragon Roar again, but not aimed at the others anymore, but behind them to propel them forward.

Juvia makes the water in her path move by itself and her group sped ahead as well.

Mira uses her own explosions to explode her boat suddenly faster and she also sped ahead.

"We're dead, Shrimp..." He says.

"Oh well..."

When we got off the boats, the guy came forward.

"These are the places!
Jerza- in first!
Gruvia- in second!
Miraxus- in third!
Nalu- in fourth!
And last but not least, Gale!
That was a cloooose race, with Jerza WAAAAYYY ahead! Congratulations, groups! " He shouted, clapping. A few onlookers applauded along with him.

"That was fun, although we lost," I laugh. Im so glad that we aren't ignoring each other.

He gives me a cute toothy grin. "Yup, and you weren't so bad as I thought," he adds.

"Hey! What does that mean?" I swatted him playfully. We smile at each other.

Okay so I arrived at my hotel!! Im in US for a vacayy~^ in Marriot Hotel omg okay hope u liked this chapter!
