“I’m homeeeee!” Daehyun called out the moment he opened the heavy wooden front door and stepped inside his house, school shoes were already left behind neatly to the side of the door. He closed the door, locking it without looking and continued his way to the living room, where he was greeted by his older brother, who was lazing on the couch, mindlessly munching on potato chips as he watched some local program.
“Welcome back. How was the last day of school?” His brother paused midway of eating a potato chip to look at him, a wide grin on his face. “And have you finishing packing for Seoul for your competition?”
Daehyun shared the same grin, shrugging as he made his way to the couch, dropping his bag carelessly on the floor next to the couch without a care. He flopped next to his older brother, where he proceed to steal a few chips from the bag and stuffed it into his mouth. “School was usual. Nothing special.” He growled playfully when his brother suddenly grabbed him by his arm and pulled him closer to ruffle his black hair. Daehyun pushed his brother away roughly, no doubt in the same playful manner. “I’d be back there again once break is over anyways. And why are you so touchy now?”
His brother chuckled before resuming on eating his potato chip, his face looking at the television, but not really watching it. “Or maybe you wouldn’t be coming back here.” He took a moment to pause and turned to look at his younger brother again, amused with the confused expression that his little brother was sporting. “Maybe you’d win and be accepted in some big-ass entertainment as a trainee for couple of years, and before you know it, you’d debut as one of those cheesy typical pretty boy groups with silly love songs like what they have now.”
Daehyun scoffed and punched his older brother’s arm lightly, “Stop it. Where is mum anyway?”
“Out grocery shopping with dad. He closed the store earlier to help mum too.” His older brother had gone back to paying attention to the television again. “They are going to make a big dinner as a good-bye party for you. Just be hopeful that mum didn’t invite all the people of Busan.”
“Eh? Ah, that’s nice.” Daehyun heaved himself off the couch and grabbed his bag, sliding it onto his left shoulder, making his way to his room. “I’ll be in my room.”
“Ha, as if you’d be anywhere else.” His brother retorted, lifting both of his foot to rest it on the coffee table, sliding further down on the couch.
Daehyun opened the door, and with a bark of “Shut up!” he slammed the door shut before locking it. He mindlessly tossed his bag to some dark corner of his room and made his way to his laptop that was on his desk. Immediately when the laptop was within his reach, he turned it on with one hand while pulling off the dark blue tie that accompany with his light grey school uniform, and unbuttoned the first top three buttons. He flopped onto his computer chair and stared at the screen in boredom, tapping his fingertips on the wooden desk as he waited for his laptop to finish uploading the system. Finally, when it had done, Daehyun immediately moved his attached mouse to click on the icon of a chatting program, and sat back again once after he keyed in his details, waiting for the program to start. The familiar sound that signal that he was logged in and online was heard, and Daehyun quickly straighten himself, brushing his fingers through his hair to style it to the best as he could. Not that it mattered to him anyway. He had told him once that he liked it messy. Daehyun grinned when the chime of a new message was heard, and his heart skipped a beat when he saw the username.
Yellow_StarcraftWarrior: Hey! How are you? I missed you! ^^
If it was possible, Daehyun’s grin became wider; his fingertips were resting on the pads of the keyboard, tapping on it lightly before he continued to type in his response.
