There seemed to be no one else around us anymore. Suddenly, we both tripped. I turned around as fast as I could. The moster seemed to also be tired of running. It clearly wasn't as strong as the one before. It bit into my shoulder viciously. I scream in pain. It wouldn't let go of me. I could barely hear Miss Burns's scream over my own. It suddenly let go, and the last person I saw before I blacked out was Jeremy.

I drousily opened my eyes. It looked like I was in a a vehicle. I think a van. Someone was driving.
"What is going on? How are you going to do anything about this?!" A female voice asked. Wait, that's Lexi!
"Listen, just trust me. I'll explain later." That was a guy's voice. Jeremy! What is going on?!
"In case you haven't noticed, we don't have later. Zoe got bitten! Didn't you know about it spreading?!" Lexi practically yelled.

"I know, I know! Shut up already! I'm trying to think." Jeremy yelled over her. I raised up.

"Guy's, what's going on?" I asked.

"Are you okay?!" Lexi and Jeremy asked in unison.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. But what happened? Where is your mom, Lexi?" I asked concerned.

"Yeah I think she's okay. She's at Jeremy's house. But don't worry, he has it locked up pretty good." She responded.

"And that's where we're headed right now." Jeremy added. I felt something on my shoulder. I felt the area. There were bandages on it. Jeremy noticed that I was looking at the bandages and said, "Don't worry about it." His smile was weak. There was a long silence. Something didn't seem right. I just remembered, before I blacked out. I was bitten by that thing.
"Tell me what the hell is going on." I said nervously, yet firmly. Lexi and Jeremy exchanged glances.

"I already explained most of this to Lexi. So, you got bitten by the the Infected." Jeremy stated.

"The Infected?" I asked.

"Yes. That's the only name for them I can think of. Anyways, I need to make an antidote for you.......before......." Jeremy stopped. He didn't have to finish, I know what he was about to say. How does Jeremy know what to do? I mean, I know he's good in science class, but this seems pretty advanced.
"Jeremy, how do you know about all of this? And how am I still alive?" I asked.

"I had to shoot it. The person was far too gone. So I bandaged you up, picked up Lexi, and explained everything to her. And now I'm explaining this to you." Jeremy stated.
"Thank you for saving me." I said sincerely.

"No problem." He said focused on the road. "And remember the scientists they talked about on the news the other day, those are my parents. And they taught me how to make the antidote just in case the experiment didn't work."

"What? Are you serious?!" I couldn't believe it.

"The Aiõnios experiment went wrong and that's how the Infected were born. And the Aiõnios is spreading like wildfire. Everytime someone gets bitten by one gets the Aiõnios inside them." Jeremy explained.

"How long have I got?" I asked desperately. Lexi looked very frightened. There was a pause.

"Twenty four hours."

***********************

As we exited the van, I stopped to look up at the sky. The tiny-looking stars twinkled in the night. It was beautiful, I just hope this isnt the last time I see them. And then we went inside. Jeremy was trying to make the antidote and Lexi was sitting down with her mom. I was standing in the corner, not knowing what to do. So let me get this straight, the scientists are Jeremy's parents, he knows how to make the antidote, my parents are probably one of the Infected, and I have been bitten by one of them. One hell of a day.
