Harry kept losing and regaining his attention on what they were currently doing. He almost forgot what class they were in and was only reminded of when he shifted his eyes down at their History of Magic textbook. What interested him now was the girl with the wild, chocolate and curly hair in front of him. Harry saw that Hermione was the polar opposite to him and was focusing hard on their work.

Missing quite a number of classes took quite the tow on Hermione. He could tell that she was stressing. Her hands were shaking vigorously as she tried to write at the speed of light. Her head kept tilting up and down to copy off the notes on the blackboard. He felt somewhat sorry for her that she ended up with a trouble-making, class-skipping guy being himself. He thought not to drag Hermione out of class anymore.

Class ended at the sound of the bell and Hermione and Harry were given a ton of homework. This was the pattern, Harry noticed, that kept re-occurring in the rest of their classes. When their free period arrived at the end of the day, no longer were they messing about. Harry, Hermione and even Ron spent their time in the library. The trio seemed to have forgotten how demanding the work has been since 6th Year.

"Bloody hell! How am I supposed to finish all this? Don't they know we have, I don't know, a life?!" Ron, as usual, already gave up after finishing a set of homework from Transfiguration which was copying notes from the textbook of facts about a spell they were to learn.

"Honestly Ron, if you keep complaining and giving up, you will lose your life, spending the rest of it doing homework." Hermione slightly exaggerated, but this got Ron, after saying what sounded like 'alright mum' under his breath, to continue the task at hand.

Although he did not show it, Harry could not focus on his work. This keeps happening to me today! Harry thought. The thought of Hermione actually distracted him from all the lessons and has earned him a bit of difficulty in figuring out what exactly the homework is about.

When he started a new batch of homework, such as Charms, he kept thinking of Hermione. Whenever he came across how a certain spell is pronounced in his Standard Book of Spells Grade 7 book, he would think of when Ron complained to him about Hermione in their First Year.

"It's levi-O-sa, not levio-SAR," the first year version of Ron said in a mocking tone inside Harry's thoughts. "Who does she think she is, Dumbledore? Blimey."

Harry chuckled lightly after trying to contain his laughter. He did not mean for the other two to hear.

"What are you laughing at mate?" Questioned Ron, who was grinning as if Harry's chuckle was contagious in the rather boring environment that is, the library.

"Nothing, just something in the book sounded funny in my head," said Harry in response and saw that Hermione rolled her eyes. After about two seconds, the trio burst out in laughter. Whether it was the way Harry said it or just a coping strategy for a few seconds to relieve the stress, the three friends could not stop laughing.

"Here's something to add to the list," Ron said, as all three of them settled down a bit. "I asked Padma to the dance and she rejected me because of well, what happened, I dunno, three years ago." Ron chuckled a bit and carried on, "So I asked Parvati and she said yes!" Laughter was all that came out of Ron's mouth after that.

"Can you believe it?"

Hermione and Harry just stared at each other in looks of 'can you believe this guy?' And Harry shook his head.

"Alright Ron, I think that's enough stress relief for today."

With Harry's suggestion, Hermione, Ron and Harry got back to their pile of homework.

After a hard hour full of doing homework, the trio went down to the Great Hall for dinner as it was already near dark. The four tables were stuffed with food and students were seating amongst the tables were talking amongst themselves in multiple little chatters.

Neville seemed to have grown attached to Luna, as once again, they were seated next to each other, but Luna didn't seem to mind. Ginny sat on the other side of Luna and was having a chat with Dean sitting across the table next to Seamus. Harry and Hermione sat on the left side of the Gryffindor table and Ron on the other.

"This roast chicken is so good," Ron looked as if he was seeing heaven under his closed eyelids.

"Hope you don't enjoy it that much, otherwise it might just be a replacement for Parvati in the dance on Friday," Harry smirked before taking a bite from his baked potato.

"I don't think so Harry, I reckon we should respect the food," Ron glanced at Hermione teasingly, "You know, wouldn't want Hermione here to yap on about S.P.E.W all over again, would we?" Hermione wore a smile that hinted a sense of offence and raised both eyebrows.

"Honestly Ronald, after all these years you should know by know that it is Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare and it just happened to abbreviate to S.P.E.W." Hermione corrected Ron and sent all three of them laughing as they had in the library.

After they had finished dinner, Harry, Hermione and Ron stopped at a hallway and said their goodnights. Ron went to the left hallway where it led to the Gryffindor common room and Harry and Hermione both made their way to the Head Students Headquarters. Harry only just named it during dinner, as he thought that the room should be worthy of a name. He made it to feel as if it was their own room, apart from the many previous Head Students at Hogwarts.

After climbing a few stairwells and passing through various hallways, Harry and Hermione have reached their destination. They said the password in unison and enter their common room.

"Today was rather great, don't you think?" Hermione questioned Harry as she walked inside the common room.

"Yeah, I guess it was," replied Harry, who was grinning from ear to ear which made his eyes crease. He walked towards Hermione who was standing in front of the fireplace and wrapped her in his arms. Hermione closed her eyes as Harry kissed her forehead.

"Do you think things are going back to the way they were?" Hermione asked whilst fiddling with the scarlet and gold tie around Harry's white collared, long sleeved shirt.

"Yeah, hopefully," said Harry, rubbing the Hermione's back with his palm, "What do you think about catching up with some sleep?"

"That would top the day off," Hermione smiled and gave Harry a quick kiss.

"Goodnight, Harry."

"Goodnight, Hermione."

The two then parted ways and shut the doors to their bedrooms, both left to wonder if things are going back to normal.
