CHAPTER 1: Parallel Universes

Everybody has their own unique characteristics. There is nobody duplicated at the exact same way. No human being is EXACTLY ALIKE with another; even for twins. There is never a fingerprint alike; never the same DNA analysis for almost the same people; never the same physical similarities with alike mental, social, spiritual and social aspects and never the same person found in the whole world. You are the only YOU existing in the whole earth and even in your universe. That’s right. I have said YOUR universe because OURS beg to differ.

It has been a mystery before on how was it possible that two universes are alike in all ways but also differs in all similarities. How, for any instance, is that even likable to happen? Well for example in your universe, cars pollute nature as to ours that nature is the one polluting and destroying cars because of excess oxygen that rusts and destroys them through time. We have learned to live as well as you do with the circumstances in your universe. We are perfectly the same and different at the same time.

Although I cannot state all differences and similarities of our universe (because I am not familiar with yours) I do understand that we are parallel--similar and dissimilar at the same time and that NOBODY and NOTHING from each side of our universe shall EVER MEET. Why, you ask? It is because the concept is the same as the figures of parallel lines. Mathematically speaking; these are lines that are of equal distance with each other and they can extend as infinitely as necessary but even though they extend as far as they can-- it is IMPOSSIBLE for them to intersect. Therefore meeting or probably crossing the lines between parallel universes will result to utmost danger for both. Well, scientifically and mathematically speaking.

We, your parallels, are flooded with mysteries that only our instinct and intense training for ignorance (yes, we are trained to be ignorant) are our way out of being salvaged by curiosity. We should not be curious about facts and should never doubt whatever the elders and our teachers say so. We comply, and everything works out just fine. There is more time for play, gallivanting and fooling around than studies and responsibilities because as human beings whose growth are unstoppable; nurture and care is the true meaning of a bright future. Well since there is less time for school, we value it more than anything else. We turn out just fine, unlike you who do the opposite but still get the same result. Amazing how our universe melts differences into similarities.

Since we were young minds, we are taught by the school community about the parallel universe. Everything was created with a twin, or mate even for universes and they are usually parallel. Some universes are just dots in a cobweb that turns out to be parallel with a lot of other universes too. Aside from various lessons about the parallel universes, one important lesson was often reminded; that we shall never interfere with our parallel’s universe. Not that we actually had a way to reach your universe that is probably zillions of miles away, but we were told to not even think about knowing more than what was taught in school. Since we were trained to be disciplined; curiosity was never a word for us.

We never actually raised questions because of open studies and lectures about our parallel universal connection. There was nothing more to ask and add because the subject seemed like bullet proof evidence that is really understandable. This subject is called “universal studies” that are as non-crucial like Advance Algebra and Trigonometry, Astronomy and Philosophy that are easy enough to pass in school.

I was no ordinary student. I LOVED universal studies. Knowing that there is someone- (although most likely impossible in our world) is truly the SAME as me in another universe is amazing! The thought of it just seems to put life in me. Students who loved these subjects are popular. Although after the years of study; people like me in your universe are called… what’s the term? Nerds? Yes. And they we’re even bullied.

Some twisted logic..

Like most of our studies, only limited lessons are given because of limited time in school. The other parts of the subject are discarded and for universal studies, it seems like it was discarded on purpose. Since I am so fascinated with the subject, I just HAVE to find out everything about it. It was like an itch needed to scratch and thirst needed to quench. It was most unlikely of me to engulf in the sensation of excitement and determination to know something. For the first time in my life I WAS CURIOUS. My curiosity is not allowed—forbidden in fact. Curiosity may lead to ruining my head and even my future, so they say. But I believe that there was a reason for leading myself in these acts. And I was glad that this feeling overcome me.

The answers I found was everything my universe was avoiding to provide. Well their hard work didn’t pay off. I’m living proof that they failed.
