Anxiously, Frank questioned the wisdom of their plan, his fingers nervously massaging the back of his neck while his gaze fixed upon the curly-haired boy. Displaying confidence, the mechanic grinned and looked to Percy and Jason for confirmation. Leo's eyes met theirs, and although they nodded hesitantly, they shared an unspoken worry about facing an enraged son of Hades.
With a cautious determination, Leo turned the knob and led the trio inside, followed closely by the other boys. Lying on the bed was Nico di Angelo, his lips slightly parted as soft snores filled the room.
The sight of Nico's parted lips widened Leo's grin. He retrieved a vial filled with purple liquid from his tool belt and handed it to Percy. "You should be the one to do it."
Percy's reluctance was evident, anticipating the consequences when Nico woke up. He accepted the vial and then passed it to Jason. "It's your turn, man."
Taking the vial, Jason's eyes met those of the son of Mars behind him. He hesitated, realizing he couldn't betray Frank like this. Despite his pale demeanor, he uncapped the vial and let the liquid drip onto Nico's forehead before pouring the rest into his mouth, with the last drop landing back on his skin.
Frozen in anticipation, the four boys watched as Nico swallowed the potion and stirred, mumbling incoherently about mythomagic. After a sigh, he settled back into sleep. With utmost care, they quietly exited the room, shutting the door behind them.
Grinning mischievously, Leo looked at his companions. "Now, we wait until morning."
~The Next Morning~
Seated around the kitchen table, each of the seven was occupied. Their attention lifted as footsteps approached, accompanied by the faint jingling of a bell.
Nico, his eyes glaring menacingly but still half-asleep, scanned the kitchen. In a voice reminiscent of his father's, he asked, "Who... transformed me into this?" Black cat ears protruded from his disheveled hair, and a black tail curled around his leg. Around his neck hung a black choker with a twinkling silver bell.
Leo erupted into laughter at the surreal yet oddly adorable sight. Growling softly, Nico's eyes bore into the repair boy. "Leo, you better start running."
Leo nervously chuckled, ruffling his hair. "Heh, heh... why would you think I did it?"
Nico adjusted the choker, revealing a small silver tag reading, "Artwork of the Super-sized McShizzle Man." Jason and Percy stared at Leo in disbelief. "You even signed it?" they chorused. Amidst the laughter, Frank sat beside Hazel, struggling to contain himself while she shot him a disapproving look. Unperturbed, Nico continued his glare.
Quick as lightning, Leo bolted from the kitchen, joined by Percy and Jason. Nico's Italian curses echoed as he chased them down. "JACKSON! VALDEZ! GRACE! GET BACK HERE!"
Frank couldn't hold back and burst into laughter, doubled over at the table. Annabeth cracked a smile, and Piper groaned. "When will the cat potion wear off?"
Amidst laughter, the son of Mars replied, "In... a month~!!" His fits of amusement only intensified, leaving him clutching his stomach.
Piper sighed. "Now we have to deal with an irate death boy, a toasted Superman, a soggy Aquaman, and a vanquished mechanic." She shot a reproachful look at Frank. "You boys could use some maturity."
