"Hey Val!" Arabella said and she bounded up to Valkyrie who gave a thin smile in return and Arabella frowned "Hey, whats up?"

"Oh...it was just the challenge."

"Oh, well I hope your ok! Would you like to sleep now?"

"Um...yes please."

"Ok! Follow me!" Arabella started to walk down the corridor so Valkyrie matched her pace "So...Duke said that your the bringer of fun?" Valkyrie asked and Arabella smiled at her "Yes I am!"

"So what exactly do you do?"

"Well I let people have fun!"

"So if someone is sad you will make sure they find the fun side of any situation?"

"Precisely!"

"That's pretty cool!"

"That it is, oh look! Were here!" Arabella opened a door which lead into a large bed chamber which was all still white "Why is every room white?" Valkyrie asked as she stepped into the room "They aren't! There actually full of colour but you see white because you still don't believe that this is happening."

"How does that make any sense?"

"It doesn't really."

"Oh..." Valkyrie said and looked around her bedroom "This is your room." Arabella said "You have some extra clothes in your draws if you want to change!"

"Ok thanks."

"Goodnight Valkyrie!"

"Goodnight Arabella." Valkyrie called and Arabella walked out the room and shut the door behind  her. Valkyrie walked over to her bed not bothering to change and lay down, she didn't shut her eyes straight away she just looked up at the ceiling thinking about all of the amazing memories she had lived with her friends, like the time when her and Ghastly had a food fight when they were supposed to be cooking for Christmas dinner, or the time with Tanith when they got drunk and went on a shopping spree with Skulduggery's credit card, Valkyrie smiled and laughed at the memories. But the ones with Skulduggery were special he was always full of life and he always made sure Valkyrie was safe and happy. The happy memories they had lived together were endless he was her best friend and she would give up anything too see him again and to talk to him. To comfort him in his time of need but she couldn't. She didn't stop the tears as they rolled freely down her face, she didn't want to. She wanted for Skulduggery to die so he could become a Guardian and know that her and Arabella were safe but she thought that was selfish. She closed her teary eyes and drifted of into sleep, that night she dreamed of the Skeleton Detective and it was going to be like that for many nights to come.
