Chapter 14

"DADDY! Let them go!" Arabella shouted and Valkyrie and Bella looked at her in shock as Lord Vile dropped them to the ground and just looked at the girl who had tears in her eyes and was glowing an interesting gold colour "Daddy? I know your there. Its me, Arabella. Please come back to me." she whispered and just like that, Viles chest plate fell of, along with his helmet and the rest of his armour leaving the great skeleton detective looking at Arabella, lovingly and sympathetically "Ari?" Skulduggery whispered and Arabella nodded her head furiously and a tear rolled down her face and Skulduggery sprinted at her and lifted her in the air and spun her around before bringing her tight against his skeletal frame with his head buried in the crook of her neck "Oh, Arabella! Ive missed you so much baby!" Skulduggery whispered lovingly and it wasn't long before the banks burst for the recently united father and Daughter "Ive missed you so much Daddy!" Arabella said and Skulduggery pulled away from the hug and looked proudly at his beautiful Arabellas face and cupped it gently with one hand "I missed you too, so, so much. Now your here I'm never letting you go again." he whispered gently and wiped away the tears which were freely streaming down her pale face "And I'm not going anywhere." she said back and hugged her farther again, just like she had wanted to do for so long.

While the reunion was going on between Arabella and Skulduggery, Valkyrie and Bella were crying and blowing their noses loudly "That moment alone was better than Titanic!" Valkyrie said and continued crying "I know your tryin to dis my DiCaprio and I would hit your for that but I'm too emotional right now." Bella wept and wiped away all the tears which were stained on her face "That was beautiful! Incredible!" She shouted and Skulduggery and Arabella turned around and laughed at them both before Arabella sprinted to the two girls and embraced them both in a massive hug "How are you back? We thought you died!" Valkyrie said and Arabella laughed slightly "I came back because I was believed in."

"What? Did Lord Vile have fun choking us?" Bella asked and Arabella shook her head "No, I came back because you believed I would come back! I didn't matter if dad believed in fun, it came down to who believed in me! As a person! Not as an emotion! Just me. And you did, you believed in me right from the start Valkyrie and I wanted to thank you for making me realised that!" Arabella along with the two others were crying now "Your welcome!" Valkyrie said and pulled her into a massive hug "Hey, I wonder what I'm the bringer of?" Valkyrie asked and looked at Arabella who was smiling "You are the bringer of belief." she whispered "You believe in anyone even if they are past caring. You are the true Grand Guardian." Arabella explained and Valkyrie finished by smiling and looking at Skulduggery who had an arm around Arabella's shoulders "Hey Skul?"

"Yes Valkyrie? Or should I say Grand Guardian?" Skulduggery asked with a smile in his voice

"Do you believe?" Valkyrie smiled.
