In about 60% of books on Wattpad I've scrolled by, the plots have this one character that can be described perfectly by one word; "badboy". This overused dude (usually named Ryder or any variation of that) typically has dark hair, too many piercings to count, wears leather jackets 24/7, has 174382726372 tattoos and rides a motorcycle. I don't really get this character, or why he's so popular, cause personally, I have literally never seen anyone even remotely similar to this cliché character in my entire life, and I doubt anyone else has. This dude is also emotionless, cold, and always has a thing for the main character, even though the author has made it oh-so-clear that Ryder has absolutely no feelings nor emotions. Authors really need to stop overusing characters like Ryder and actually use their brains to create a unique character.
