The Heart shaped Box

Swimming through the ocean, a girl of age 16 visited the market place. Lines of food and glorious materials scatter the area, leaving the girl full of creativity. She swam over a stand and bought a few seashells, she wanted to give these to her father, and her name was (y/n). She was a fair mermaid, in the entire kingdom of Atlantis, even suitors from other kingdoms wanted to escort her, which she declined, meaning to marry the one she falls in love with. Her creative mind though has made her stand out than the other merpeople, she makes amazing artifacts with the work of humans, which (y/n) thought as a amazing discovery.

She then was on her way back to the castle, until she bumped into a merman, "Ow", she said, "Oh, I'm sorry", she heard the man said, she looked up seeing a merman with blonde hair, his electric blue eyes stand out of any merman she met, and his hair tied up in a tiny ponytail. "Oh! Your highness", he said, shocked that he bumped into the princess, "It's alright, (y/n) will do, what's your name?", she asked, the man then stood up. "My name is Len", he said, "Well, nice to meet you Len!", (y/n) said, "I have to go back to the castle, see you around!", she said, leaving off to her home.

As she entered the castle, (y/n) felt a spark of interest in that boy, unlike any other boy she knew, he was different. Unlike the fact that he isn't a prince, he seemed the shy type, which (y/n) found quite interesting, then she sang to her room, feeling the feeling of love that she currently feels for him.  She then plans to see him again.

The next day, she went to the market to look for him, she couldn't find him, until she heard an amazing singing, she followed it, she saw Len, singing with an identical blonde beside him, (y/n) felt the slight bit of jealousy on the amazing voice of Len, or the fact that he was with a girl. (Y/n) then swam towards him, "Nice voice", she said, it startled Len a bit, but he then smiled, "It's nice to see you again (y/n)", he said, the girl then looked surprised, "Len, she's the friggin princess, that was rude!", she said, then she bowed, "It's alright Rin, she let me call her that", he said, Rin looked up, then stood up. "Oh alright, I'm Rin, Len's twin!", she said, (y/n) then felt a slight of relief that she was his sister, she then showed a smile, sooner or later, (y/n) had become good friends with Len and Rin, but her feeling for Len tends to develop, causing her to sometimes stutter or blush. Knowing for the feeling that she feels, she had to tell him.

5 months passed by since the met, and (y/n) wants to tell him now, she swam out of the palace to tell him, "Len!", she said, but as she visited him, she saw him kissing another blonde, she had long hair, tied up in a side pony, (y/n) could feel the heart break, and just stood there. As the kiss broke, Len had eyes on you, he widen them, and tears were streaming down your face, you had chocolate with the note for him, but you swam away dropping it, Len tried to chase after you, but he stopped in front of the heart shaped box, he then saw the note attached to it, it said:

Dear Len,
         I don't know, but I think I love you, kinda fast right? I know we've been friends for like a few months, but I knew you were the one. I couldn't feel that spark that I felt for you to any prince that tried to escort me, I know that you're the one, so can you be my boyfriend? <3

Len had his eyes wide when he read the letter, and went looking for her. When he finally found her, she was with the sea witch, Len could feel something wasn't right, so he went to warn her, but...... "Done!", the witch said, then magic surrounded (y/n), her tail......disappeared. Len tried to swim towards her to save her, but she turned human.....then she was stressing to breath, so Len grabbed her and swam her to the surface, as she rested on the sand of the beach, a man, human. Was walking on the beach, he had blue hair with matching eyes, he saw (y/n) on the shore and went to save her. From that day forward, (y/n) was a human, but even though, she missed Len, sometimes she'll walk across the shore and place her feet in the water, hoping for Len's return.

It was after (y/n)'s wedding when she saw Len again, he was older now, (y/n) saw him and went into the water towards him, she hugged him for his return, Len hugged back, he did loved her. Though she was already married to the prince, he can't take her back, even though, (y/n) still loves Len, and visits the shore everyday, if another time he comes back.
