Chapter 2: Follower

I looked at Mikey, then back to the girl, Enid.
She stood up and walked out the door. I was about to follow her until Mikey spoke up.
"Do you want to play video games with us?" He asked.
"They have video games here?!?"
I nodded. "Sure."
Mikey went out of the child's bedroom and went to another door. Ron and I followed. Mikey opened the door and I saw a T.V with a game console with two controllers hooked up to it.
I sat down as Mikey puts in Mario Kart.

~After a few levels of Mario Kart~
Mikey and Ron both beat me at a few levels, but I won a few times.
Ron put his controller down and walked out of the room where Enid was.
Mikey stood up and followed Ron, so I had no choice but to follow them.
We went in the living room where I saw Enid sitting on a couch.

~Time skip~
I was in one of the rooms when I saw Enid coming back from outside.
I stared at her for a moment.
"What was she doing out there?" I thought to myself.
I saw her go inside and I went out of the bedroom, seeing her sitting on a chair in the living room. She moved her long hair away from her eyes.
I sat in a chair near her and bit my bottom lip softly.
She looked at me with no expression on her face. Just a blank stare.
I smiled a little, but she didn't smile back. After a few awkward seconds of silence, she just looked away from me, not saying anything.
I looked away from her, but then I looked at her from the corner of my eye.
I saw her stand up and walk to the door. I followed after her, trying not to get caught.
I saw Enid go outside and followed her again. But this time, I kept my eyes on her.
I stopped when she stopped and I stood by a tree.
I saw her look around a little, then she ran some more. I began to follow her again.
I followed her until I couldn't see her anymore. I sighed and walked back to Alexandria, giving up my search.

~The next day~
Sunlight lit through the windows of my house I was staying in. I rubbed my eyes and stretched.
I got dressed and walked outside and down the street towards the main house that everyone stayed at.
I saw Enid go in the house and I went in to see my dad with Jessie and Pete. I went over to them and smiled slightly.
"Hey kiddo. How'd you sleep?" Pete asked me. I rolled my eyes. "Fine, I guess..." I said, stifling a little yawn that passed my lips.
Enid was at a table eating some food. I saw Ron with her and I looked away so they wouldn't see me staring.
I bit my bottom lip again, putting my hat over my eyes slightly.

(Enid's POV)
I saw Carl look over at me, but then he looked away. Ron put his hand on my shoulder and rubbed it a little. I looked up at him and smiled. He smiled also, kissing my cheek.
I saw Carl bite his bottom lip and put his hat over his eyes. I couldn't help but chuckle softly.
I felt Ron's lips against my cheek again. "Why is he staring at you?" He asked me. I shrugged. "I'm not sure..."
I wanted to go outside, but I doubt Ron or the others will let me. So I thought of something to make up so that Ron would leave.
"Hey, um, do you want to play video games with Mikey?" I asked.
Ron shrugged. "I dunno. Maybe." He said, giving me a kiss on the lips.
I watched him go and stood up, walking to the doors. I thought I heard footsteps following me, but I shrugged it off.
I walked towards the walls and swung my backpack over my shoulder and began to climb the huge walls. When I reached the top, I swung both of my legs, one at a time, over the wall. I thought I saw Carl watching me from the door. I rolled my eyes and climbed down the wall.
