Chapter 22: Enid! Come back!

(Carl's POV)
"Who the hell are you?" I asked after I pointed my gun at the boy's temple.
The boy froze, but didn't step away from Enid.
"Austin." He said as he moves a hand towards Enid.
"Don't you dare touch her!" I said, my voice rising a little.
"Hey... Relaxe pirate." Austin said as he moved a strand of hair away from Enid's beautiful, piercing blue eyes.
I clenched my fists together, my eye narrowing.
Austin leaned closer to Enid, his lips barely brushing hers.
"Get, the hell, away from her." I said through gritted teeth.
I saw Austin roll his eyes as Enid shoved him away, stomping off to my house.
I began to follow her until I felt him grasp my shirt and pull me back.
I could feel his hot breath against my ear.
"Listen cowboy. You better stay away from that girl. Cause she's mine." He muttered softly.
I tried to shake loose, but he only tightened his grip.
"Got it?" Austin asked.
I nodded, frowning slightly.
"Good." He said, shoving me forward and trying to make me lose my balance, but I caught it, stabling myself.
I scowled at him as I walked towards my house.
"What's he doing here?"
"Why did he tell me to stay away from Enid?"
"If he hurts her..."
"If he lays a FINGER on her..."
"I'll kill him."
I went to the door of my house and opened it, seeing Enid in the doorway.
"Hey." I said simply with a small smile.
"Hey Carl... I forgot that I left one of your comic books at my place. So, if you excuse me... I'll be going now." She said, biting her lip and trying to get out of my way.
I raised an eyebrow, confused.
Enid squeezed past me and went to the direction of her house. I watched her go in and waited for her to come out, but she didn't.
I walked to her house and knocked on the door.
No answer.
I knocked again.
"Enid?"
Still. No answer.
I put my hand on the doorknob, twisting and pushing on the door.
The door was locked.
I went to the side of her house and saw her climbing up the wall.
My eyes widened as I heard Ron scream at her.
"Enid! Where the hell are you going?" He yelled.
She looked back, frowning slightly as her legs swung over the walls.
I huffed, turning and running to my dad's house.
I opened the door, seeing my dad with Judith and Michonne.
"Carl... Where's Enid?" Michonne asked.
"She went over the walls." I said.
"It's dangerous out there! She could get killed." My dad said.
"I know. I'm going to find her." I replied, brushing my hair out of my eye.
I was about to walk out until he stopped me.
"Carl... Make sure you bring her back."
I nodded.
"I will."
