Fame & glamour; cheering crowds & flashing cameras - these are the components that  make up the life of a celebrity but one-fourth of the time. The other three-fourths consist of hard work and immense stress.

For young pop idol Yotobe Takau, sadly, his stress mainly revolved around a certain singer by the name of Kai. Kai was his rival. He always stole his fans. He always stole his ratings. But that would all change, that fine morning, as it was Takau - not Kai - who was sponsoring the grand opening of a large department store.

It was his face - not Kai's - that was hanging off the skyscraper in a large banner. And it was Yotobe Takau who was currently sitting at a table, handing out free autographs to the public.

"WE LOVE YOU, TAKAU-KUN!" the crowds of roaring girls cried out as they tried to reach out and touch him. The many security guards did their job and kept the crazy mob back. They were the impenetrable fortress that protected the young teen idol from being trampled upon - or worse.

"Hah, Arigatou," Takau flashed his most charming smile as he waved one last time to his audience. Though he wasn't performing on a stage, he still made sure to put on a show whenever he was in front of his fans. It was his career, and they all happened to be his pride and joy.

After an hour of signing autographs, Takau walked up the platform he was scheduled to perform on. He went backstage and caught a bottle of water that was tossed to him by his best friend Matsu.

"Nice job out there," the bubbly blond laughed. "But, I have to say, Takau, I thought for sure those girls would break through those guards and try to strangle you. Did you see how crazy excited they were?"

At this, Takau just laughed, "Well, this is me we're talking about here. Who wouldn't want to tackle down some large guys in black suits to get a bit of this~?" He gestured to himself dramatically as he closed his eyes, but peeked a bit to see the reaction of his best friend.

"Aha, oh, aren't you the humble one," Matsu grinned with a roll of his eyes. "But all this hard work will pay off eventually. The party's tonight, after all!"

"Yup, and I can wipe my newly found popularity right into Mr. I'm-So-Awesome-Cuz-I'm-Kai's face!" the navy-blue haired singer smirked with a proud cross of his arms.

"Ehh, didn't I already tell you? Kai's not gonna be able to make it, or something like that." Matsu shrugged as he leaned against the wall, "If you ask me, I think he just doesn't want to come. He never really liked the whole fame and attention thing. And a party is no exception."

"What!?" Takau immediately jolted forward and grabbed Matsu's shoulders. "Dude, do not tell me he's not going! I set this all up for the very reason of boasting to Kai how much more popular I am!"

The easy-going blond just laughed, "Haha...There really isn't much we can do, though..."

"Wait, that's it!" Takau said as he let the blond go. He felt cerulean eyes staring at him in confusion. "We might not be able to do anything, but I know someone who can. My older brother, Hiro! If anyone can convince Kai to do anything, I know he can!"

"Oh, wow, that's great!" Matsu said with a wave of his arms, "Uhhh, wait. But, Takau, don't you have a performance coming up in the afternoon? And how are you going to get there when there's like a million girls outside waiting to tear you from your clothes to your flesh?"

"Leave that," Takau grinned as he pointed to himself, "To me."
