Chapter 7

After pranking Alex, the day went by slowly, I wanted to just go back to my house and sleep all day. I don't know why I was so tired, and even if I was tired I couldn't wait to be at soccer practice. Coach Lloyd had been busting our asses off, we have a friendly match this coming saturday and she wanted to make sure that we had everything ready to start the season, all the girls were working hard, I've never seen our team so focus and so strong, I know it was the hype of having a chance to be in the world cup, I mean who wouldn't want to work and test your limits to be the best of the world.

I felt pain in my arm and that when I notice that J.J had pinched me, "did you hear what I said Ash?"

"Sorry Jules, I'm just tired, what did you say?"

"Ugh I don't know why you're my best friend... I ask you if you knew what James was planning for our date?, he won't tell me and I hate surprises, you know that"

"Haha I know you do J.J but I can't tell you what he's planning cuz I don't know, he wouldn't tell me, the only thing he said is that I'll have to order take out or go out to eat cuz he won't be able to cook for me...so I guess thank you for leaving me without food J.J"

"Hey its not my fault that James is so sweet that he wanted to do something for me, even if he won't tell me.. and I'm sure you'll have something to do on friday so don't worry about having to go out"

"Yeah I know but I'll have a talk with James haha "

"Please don't Ash, then he won't take me out again" she said with sadness

"Haha don't worry Jules, I'm actually going to make time for him so you can see each other more often and so that he can attend our games"

"Omg!! you're firing him??"

"Relax dude!! I could never fire James, he's family to me and you know it, what I mean is that I'm cutting his work hours, he will have the same paycheck but I'll hire someone else to work in the kitchen so James can go back to playing soccer at his school and have more time to be with you. How does that sound J?"

"Omg!! are you serious??" I nodded "Thank you Ash!! you're awesome!! James told me how much he misses soccer but that he wouldn't trade being with you for the world, you know you're his family"

"Yes I know, I just have to call my dad to let him know what I'm going to do" J.J make a frighten face "Don't worry J you know my parents love James as his son and they'll agree immediately, so you don't have to worry about anything, except seeing James almost every day haha"

She just blushed at my comment, I said bye to her and began walking to music class, what I didn't expect when I walk in was Kayla telling something to Mr. Raymond and then making her way towards the back where me and Tom usually sit. She sat at Toms place and thats when I notice Tom seating at the front with Ali, she was a shy girl, she was also on the team, she is pretty funny once you get past the shy Ali. I made a face a Tom asking what the hell was he doing there, he just smiled at me and thats when I felt my phone vibrated in my pocket.

Sorry about this, Mr. Raymond asked me to sit here and help Ali cuz she wants to learn how to play the drums - Tom

K, but why were you guys blushing so much when I walked in? - Ash

I'll tell you later, now go have fun with Kayla, I know you like her - Tom

I just rolled my eyes, I knew Tom liked her since he saw her at one of our games, Ali was one of our best players, She plays as a right defender and she's so fast that one second she's taking the ball back from the opponent at the next second she's all the way taking a shot or serving Jules with the nicest balls so she can just kick the ball in. Like I said, she's an awesome girl once you get to know her, at first she was so shy that she just said "yes" and "no" thats the only 2 words she spoked.

I made my way to my sit and noticed that Kayla was looking at me smirking and that's when I became nervous, I felt butterflies, I felt a tingly sensation on my body. I reached my spot and sat down..

"Hey Ash, can I ask you something?"

"As long as is not something inappropriate.."

"Haha don't worry I'm not like that, I know that you don't like me but would you go out with me on Friday so that we can know each other?"

If she only knew that I feel so much attraction towards her... "Why would I like to know you? I mean, you seem like a girl who doesn't take anything serious, a girl who doesn't care for anyone but herself, you seem like you take everything for granted, you also seem like a spoiled self centered bitch"

"Wow Ash, I thought you were different. I know that I'm a player but you have no right to say those things when you don't know me at all. I guess you actually don't deserve to get to know me, but I'll tell you this, I've worked since I was 14, everything I have I worked for it, yeah my parents have money, my uncle is Usher, but you know what... It's their money, they worked for it, not me. So why would I use something that's not mine? I only let my parents pay for my school and food, I bought my car with the money I worked so hard for. So don't come and judge me when you know nothing about me"

I was speechless, why was I such a bitch to her, I feel horrible now. I'm never like this, I never judge a book by its cover so what the heel is wrong with me? Before I could apologize I saw Kayla making her way trough the door "Kayla wait!"

She didn't look at me and when I finally reached the door she was gone, I liked for her but she wasn't in the hallway or in the parking lot, so I made up my mind to talk to her as soon as possible, but right now I have to go to soccer practice.

I reached the locker room and began changing to my practice uniform. J.J wasn't here yet, which was odd, we were always the first ones here, I was the captain and she was the co-captain so we had to be role models and always be the first ones and the last to leave, make sure everyone was giving everything. After I changed my teammates arrived and began changing, I was always the first one in the field along with J.J but today she wasn't on time and I was becoming nervous, so I dialed up her phone...

I'm sorry this chapter is more of a fill up.. But I promise the next one has more action...
