Isabelle's POV
I woke up with a jump when I felt someone jump on me. My eyes opened and I saw Josh staring down at me. He woke me up this way every weekend back at the orphanage, I guess nothing had really changed.
"Get up! JC said we're going somewhere cool today!" Josh exclaimed.
I rolled out of bed (literally) and then went to the bathroom to get ready.
"He didn't say where we were going, right?" I yelled to Josh who was on the other side of the door. My memory of the day before was never good in the morning. Maybe that's why my grades weren't doing so well.
"No, he said it's a surprise," Josh replied.
Later...
Josh and I were blindfolded and led around the house. I could feel the sun beating down on me, so I knew we were outside. When the guys took the blindfolds off I was standing in the backyard, the pool a few feet away from me.
"We're making our video to announce that we adopted you guys," JC explained.
"Why all the theatrics?" I asked with a laugh. "You could've just told us to meet you down here."
"That's what I said," Connor said, rolling his eyes.
"Let's get started!" Kian yelled.
Trevor turned on the camera, and I watched him the whole time as he walked around to join the group. Josh and I were hidden behind everyone.
After short introductions it came time for us to come out of hiding.
"So, our big announcement is that we have adopted two wonderful kids... Well teenagers. Come on out guys!" Connor exclaimed.
Josh and I made our way in front of O2L and waved at the camera. I glanced over at Josh who had a smile plastered on his face.
"This is Josh and Isabelle. They are part of our family now. I hope you guys love them just as much as we do!"
Love? They love us? That wasn't a word I'd thought someone would say to me ever again.
The guys waved goodbye, and decided to turn around and push someone in the pool. Trevor fell back with a splash and everyone laughed. He looked up at me and squinted his eyes in annoyance, but smiled as well.
Huh, love.
