Tears pattered down to the cold, concrete floor from Gavin's red and swollen eyes, these being the only sounds he dared to make besides the occasional sob. Everything hurt, his... ass, especially. 'Oh God Evan, where are you?' Crying harder, he fisted his hands, pulling against his chains, for they had moved him to chains before Red had-

Screaming, he buried half his face into his left arm, face contorted into one of pain and sorrow. Hot tears streamed down his cheeks, staining them with their salt and the burden that they now carry. "Evan... Evan..." Was all he could say; his travelling partner and friend had been a rock in the middle of a raging river for him when all of this had happened, but now he wasn't there, when Gavin needed him more than ever. "DON'T FUCKING TOUCH ME, YOU PERVERTED MOTHERFUCKER!!"

Gavin whipped his head toward the source of the yelling, which was the right wall. Definitely Evan. "Now now, don't get feisty, we're just taking you to see your friend." Red. That son of a bitch.

"Gavin? GAVIN!"

The door in front of him opened to reveal Evan and Red, as well as a few of his lackeys. Evan ran up to Gavin and enveloped him in a hug, which hurt, but Gavin could take it. "I've never been more glad to see anyone in my entire LIFE," he cried, resting his head against Evan's as they hugged; well, sort of.

As Evan pulled back, he began, "I uh, I kinda heard what... what they did. To you."

At this, the door behind them closed, leaving them alone in the quiet dark. "You did?" Gavin avoided eye contact. He felt so... dirty.

"Yeah." Ringing his wrists, Evan went quiet, as did Gavin. It was broken by Evan touching his forehead to Gavin's, saying with relief, "I agreed to their offer,"

"What offer?"

"To let them do what they want to me in order to keep you safe."

Whipping his head up, Gavin inquired with a hiss, "You did WHAT?"

"You heard me."

"That's suicide! Do you-" Squeezing his eyes shut and turning his head away, he bit his lip to collect himself before turning back with, "Do you have ANY idea what I would do if you weren't here? I'd... I'd just..." Breathing slowly, he continued. "I can't let you risk it. If we're in this, we're in it together. I'd rather us not be in it, but-"

Evan smiled deviously. "I have a plan."

Gavin lifted his head to eye level with Evan's. "What is it?"

"Let me handle that. It'll be clearer once I break you out. Just sit tight, OK?"

Murmuring, Gavin nodded. "OK..."

Evan smiled. "Good."

"Ouch." Evan remarked, shifting his legs to a more comfortable position. Now he knew how Gavin felt; every single part of his body hurt. These guys seriously didn't know the definition of the word 'gentle'.

But it was worth it, 'cause while they'd been doing their thing, they hadn't paid attention to what he was doing, which was using his toes to grab the keys to his and Gavin's shackles. "These motherfuckers won't even see it comin'."

Gavin woke with a start to the sound of something hitting the door. He frowned at the darkness, and then at the yelling; what the hell was going on out there? "Yeah, that's right, run bitches, run!" Evan. This was his plan? He received his answer when the door opened to show Evan standing there, bloody, holding his sword in one hand and a ring of keys in the other. Relief washed over him like water over hot pavement. "You're the greatest."

"So I've been told,"

After being unshackled, Gavin ran with Evan to a storage room marked 'Victims', inside being all of their victims' clothes. Stacks upon stacks of shirts, jackets, pants, shorts, shoes, anything you could think of. Gavin felt sick. "Oh my God..." Evan breathed. "We're doing the world a favor by killing these sons of bitches," He began by searching through the newest clothes until he found Gavin's, and then beside them his own. In the miscellanous pile, Gavin found his backpack and metal pole. "Got it," he annouced, swinging his pack onto his back and pole around in the air, "let's haul ass."
