"I can't believe you almost threw up on the Ferris wheel," I giggled at Scott as we linked arms.

He laughed at the remark. "Well it was your fault for suggesting we buy all those doughnuts. I'm still stuffed!"

The fun fair had come to town and as a surprise Scott had bought us wristbands, giving us free passes to any ride for an unlimited number of times. It didn't matter that the day was gloomy or that dark clouds had permanently covered the sun. To me, it was perfect.

I giggled, just as a light drizzle began to patter against out rain macs "Well, you agreed to it!"

He laughed again at my cheeky expression, tilting his head back to reveal the dimples in his cheeks. This laugh of his was my favourite. "Point well made, Cooper," he said before kissing the top of my nose.

Together, we trudged through the wet mud which was embedded in the grass and determined to cling onto our shoes, as we wandered through the rest of the fair. The air was cold; nipping at the skin on my hands and face, but Scott's close presence warmed me.

Around us, various stands stood with flashing lights that were advertising different games or foods. The strong scent of fried sugar and cotton candy filled my nose, followed by the smell of hot dogs, causing my mouth to water.

"Look!" I pointed in a particular direction. "Over there -" Immediately, a large gust of wind cut me off before I could even finish my sentence. The force of it blew back the hood of my rain mac; scattering my hair in all directions. I tried to smooth it down with the help of Scott. "Just my luck," I muttered, feeling more than slightly píssed. I hated it when the weather fucked with my hair.

My boyfriend quickly pulled me over to a bench (which was mostly dry), before sitting me down. Then he leaned in close and began to rearrange my hair.

"Mmm, you smell nice." I told him as I inhaled his scent -- a habit of mine that I couldn't resist. He smelt of an exotic spice mixed with mint -- the scent of his favourite shampoo.

"You always say that," he told me with a grin as he continued to sort out my stray strands of hair. I could still smell the sugary scent of the doughnuts we'd eaten not that long ago on his breath. As he firmed down the last strands, I couldn't help but noitce his adorable frown, before he leant back.

"You're good to go."

I kissed him.

"What were you going to say before you got distracted?" He asked once we'd stood together, hand in hand.

I pointed to a stand not too far away from where we were stood with my other hand, messy hair almost forgotten. "I was going to say look over there." He followed the direction I was pointing towards just as I began to jump on the spot. "There's candyfloss!" I explained in case he didn't already know. Which of course he would seeing as he had eyes

As he saw the stand he began to groan. "More food?" I knew he was joking, of course. If anyone knew I had a huge appetite it was him. Luckily, he didn't seem to care.

I pouted, swatting his arm with my hand. "Please? I'll eat your share if you want..." I sent him a cheeky look to let him know I was half joking.

He laughed again, the sound giving me pleasant chills. "You're insatiable," he told me before zipping up his coat. "Fine. Wait here, I'll be right back."
