Me and Sammy walked outside to the bleachers where people were running on the tracks.

"So what do you want to know" I ask.

"What's your fav color?"

"Basic questions? Really" I chuckled.

"Basic and then we'll get to the more serious questions" Sammy says

"Alright... It's blue. How about you?"

"Green" he says

"Basic questions are boring" I whine. "Let's get to the serious questions."

"Alright" he says,"any heartbreaks?"

"Umm. Not necessarily. Nothing really big. How about you?"

"Nope"

That's probably because he breaks their hearts.

After a whole period of talking and getting to know each other we go to class.

I walk to my next class which was Science with Ms. Martin. Most teachers here are pretty chill and others are strict as hell.

I walk into class and sit next to Sierra.

"Hey" I say

"Hi" Sierra snaps

"What's wrong?"

"Rumors are going around that you and Sam are low key dating"

"What? Why would they think that?"

"Maybe it's because you two were outside sitting on the bleachers. Flirting with each other."

"We weren't flirting. We were just talking" I said

"That's not what the whole school thinks" she says

The whole school thinks that me and Sammy are a thing? If he wasn't a fuckboy then maybe, but he is so no thanks.

"Well we're not. I promise you. Remember what I said at lunch?"

"Yeah" Sierra says

"I don't fuck with fuckboys"

I was currently at the beach like I always am just enjoying it.

After Science class people kept asking me if Sammy and I were a thing and I said, "hell no." I don't fuck with fuckboys.

Sammy's pov

It's hard to say this, but I think I like Jadlyn. I know. People see me as a fuckboy. A boy who fucks with girls and never contacts them again. Of course I want to fuck Jadlyn, but she needs more than a good fuck. She needs a relationship and I can provide that. She probably sees me nothing more than a fuckboy, but I can change. For her and I'm willing to do that.

I heard that Jadlyn goes to the beach everyday after school. I wonder why and I'm determined to find out why.

*skip all the shit to get to the beach*

I walk on the shore and look for Jadlyn. There's probably 50 people here today, which isn't much.

At last, I found her. I walk in her direction and start a conversation with her.

Jadlyn's pov

I was minding my own business, until Sammy approaches me.

"Oh hey Jadlyn" he says

"Hey.." I smile slightly

"What're you doing here" he asks

"Just enjoying the beach and you?"

"I actually came here for the same reason" he smiles.

Not going to lie, but his smile is amazing and makes me melt on the inside.

"Oh.."

"I actually came here to ask you something" he confesses

"Is it about me coming to the beach everyday?"

"Yeah" he says.

Curious I see.

"Well, I had a best friend, named Jessie, that me, Sierra, and Izzy used to hang out with when we were younger. Maybe 12 or 13. We used to go to the beach everyday and just swim. Swimming was our passion together. We loved swimming as long as we were together. One day, we went to the beach like normally, but it was different. That day Jessie died from a shark attack. Only 13 years old. Now I'm the only who comes here. I'm the only one who hasn't let go of her yet. No one understands."

" I understand" Sammy says placing his hand on my thigh.

"Thanks for trying to be understanding, but I know you don't" I placed my hand on top of his.

"Well let me help you let go" he leaned closer to me.

"How? Jessie was like a sister to me"

"She'll always be in your heart. And she'll stay there. There's better things in life than to go to the beach everyday"

"You're right" I looked down at my fingers and started fiddling with them.

I just realized Sammy had a party today. "What about your party?"

"I cancelled it"

"Why?"

"Because I wanted to talk to you"

What? Why?

"What? Why?"

"Because..." Sammy paused

"Because..." I repeated

"I like you"
