I was gazing out my window, the setting sun painting my small room a dull orange and red. The light casting long lazy shadows of the enormous mountains and trees that surround the Hat Shack.

"Hey buddy wanna go hunting with us? There are plenty of monsters to kill!" Trot exclaimed, I turned and looked at the walrus in question, he was smiling the best he could with the massive tusks under his upper lip.

"No, I'm getting tired." I lied through my teeth, truth was I was waiting for them to be out and about so I could visit a friend.

"Fine, not like we ever see you at night anymore, I swear, maybe we should take you to Lalna! Maybe he knows what's wrong with you..." He looked saddened he turned and marched on out, slamming my door on the way out. I returned to my window, the night sky's void of darkness washed over the land, I could just barely make out the two companions running off with swords into the trees. Now that they were gone I made my way over to the deeds room, the hum of the magic in the air warmed me as I walked to the one with a small sign:

"Warning- Highly caustic. Large quantities of Flux in the area"

Ignoring the sign I began reading the short spell in the book, within seconds I was on a small hill. Looking out I saw Nanosound's home.

"Guess who it issss!" my eyes were covered by purple glowing hands, I could feel the warmth on my reptilian skin. I ducked down and turned to see the beautiful girl before me.

"Nano...You're glowing like the stars" I stepped closer looking at the swirling purple flux that stained her skin, I gently push back her hair revealing the purple over her eyes.

"You're cold aren't you? You need heat. Come, sit." She muttered as she sat on the ground and beckoned me with her hand, she reached her hand up to the sky. Like she was picking stars from the night sky. Her arms dimmed as she crawled over to me, holding me in a warm embrace for what felt like ages, she was so warm and lovely, I wanted to remain forever. I looked down at her and kissed her forehead softy, we whispered of the day's adventures and spoke of the past. The small giggles bubbled into laughter. She began to hum a soft tune and then began singing

"Breathe in,

The sweet air,

The quiet flowered meadow,

Laying back with no care,

Down by the forest where time seems to slow,

Down by the creek where only we go,

Adventures can wait,

I have you by my side,

If one of us leaves the other will cry,

So stay with me darling in the moon lights glow,

Hold me closer as the night goes,

Softly I'll hum till we fall fast asleep,

Quietly now don't make a peep." She leaned in and kissed me after that, gently leaving a lingering kiss on my cheek.

I began to see the sun rise on the horizon, I shook her and pointed. She nodded and began to run back into her home, while I began mumbling the spell to bring me home, I transported into my room. I jumped in my bed and turned on my heat lamp, and began to sleep.
