"They're cops," I muttered again."How can you tell?" He demanded turning his back towards the tables.
"Turn back around and act like nothing is out of order." I snapped at him. "Watch how they move, they're both packing and they keep looking at the back hallway. One of them is going to get up and go that way."
I smirked as I watched one of them stand up and slip through the customers before stopping at the bar, we watched as he glanced around before slipping down the back hallway.
"I hope you don't have anything incriminating down there." I whispered meaningfully.
"Lucky for us, we're prepared for that." He smirked.
20 minutes went by before the man came back, stopping at the bar and gathering two drinks he went back to the tables. We watched as he shook his head causing his partners expression to fall grim. They played a couple more hands before getting up and leaving.
"What exactly are you guys waiting for?" I asked Jace as the door closed on the two men.
I watched him clench his jaw before glancing away.
"I need to know, I need to be prepared," I growled.
"I know you do, fuck." He groaned rubbing his hand down his face. "Look, in our business we piss a lot of people off, it comes with the territory. Right now, we are number one on everyone's hit list. So no, I can't give you an answer to that question."
"What happened?" I asked, a sick feeling sliding down my spine.
"A deal gone wrong, too many players and someone messed up. We are the biggest ring that anyone has ever seen, we play our cards close to our chest and make sure to keep things in order."
"Someone is out to take our empire right out of our hands, the only problem is we don't know for sure who it is. It's like an all out attack on our group, information that they shouldn't have, they do."
"Even when we make last minute changes, shit goes to hell and fast. Bellamy and I, have tried looking into our own men but nothing concrete, just suspicions."
"We have been laying low the last couple weeks but our clients are getting ansy and want what only we can offer them. As their only resource we have to be able to provide, we just can't. Not with how things have been going down."
"We lost 3 of our men at the last meet, 3 men that should still be here. One jumped in front of me, taking a bullet meant for me." He stated pointing a finger at himself.
"I just," he paused before shaking his head and continuing, "things are more complicated than before. Before we knew who the enemy was but now for once it's not our normal suspect."
"That's why we hired you, you know what to look for in a threat and we can trust you to watch out for our one weakness." He motioned towards the elevator as Claire stepped through.
"I'll try to help the best I can," I murmured, cutting our conversation short. I watched her walk through the club, every eye seemed glued to how she moved flawlessly and I felt my self growing hard by just watching her.
"You can head up now, I'll see you in the morning." Jace said as he turned and walked to Claire, he leaned down and whispered something to her and she nodded heading back to the elevator.
I made one last sweep before heading up stairs, my eyes hurt and my body felt like it had aged in the last 24 hours, it had almost been 2 days with out rest. He had been longer but with the recent shocks to his life it had begun taking its toll and without food it was coming in hard.
Scanning my key card, I entered my room. A nice smell came from the small table that was pushed against the wall underneath the window. Walking towards the covered plate I lifted the lid and smelled pot roast with all the fixings.
My mouth watered as I removed my jacket and hung it on the back of my chair, undoing the top two buttons of my shirt and rolling up the sleeves I sat down and cut a piece of meat placing it in my mouth.
I groaned at how good it tasted before cutting myself another piece. I looked at the small dish to my left that held ice and a bottle of wine, grabbing the wine I torqued the top and poured myself a glass.
Once I had finished my meal, I walked to the bathroom and took a nice hot shower, letting the hot water pound against my sore muscles.
I relaxed against the wall and let my eyes close for a moment but that moment cost me. Her face immediately came to light, the way her emotions were so easily read in their deep green depths.
How smooth her skin felt beneath my hands, groaning I gripped myself and began pumping my rigid length. Green eyes stared back at me, desire flaring up at the way my hands danced across her.
Biting my lip I pumped harder and harder, the way her breathy moans could fill a room. I reached down and cupped my balls, remembering how soft her hands could be and the look in her eyes before she would.. I groaned as I unloaded my cum.
Stroking myself as I jetted into the tub, pressing back against the wall I breathed deeply, trying to regain a steady breath.
Once I caught my breath I quickly washed my hair and body before leaving the shower. I needed to call Jason and soon, things were precarious right now.
However after my lengthy couple of days and the stress relief I found in the shower, my day was done. Slipping on my boxer briefs, I climbed into the king size bed and before my head hit the pillow I was out.
