I woke up, my eyes glancing around in front of me. I heard something but I couldn't place what it was, I moaned and rolled over closing my eyes and slipping my hand beneath my pillow gripping the gun that lay there.

Faking sleep, I waited. A couple minutes later I heard a slight shuffle near the window, opening my eyes slightly I saw a figure halfway in and halfway out of my room.

They were concentrated on balancing their foot on the ground without making noise on trying to get in. Slipping from the bed silently I moved in behind them, waiting a moment I grabbed the back of their neck and dragged them inside.

Pointing the gun at the back of their head I growled, "who the fuck are you?"

I felt them freeze the moment my hand grabbed them, pressing my knee into their back and pushing the gun further into their skull to emphasize my point.

"I won't ask you again," I whispered the threat. My response was more silence. "Fine have it your way."

I slammed the gun against the base of their neck, knocking them out cold. Grabbing them by the collar of their jacket I jerked them towards the bed. By the size they had to be male, I couldn't tell who it was due to the mask and the darkness in the room.

Leaving them in a head near the foot, I grabbed the hand held and my hand cuff.

"I need assistance in my room, someone broke in." I muttered into the ear piece before dropping it and grabbing the man's arms before twisting them behind his back and securing them with the cuffs.

Seconds passed by and I heard the lock slid on the door before Jace and Claire busted in, guns raised.

"Took you long enough," I grumbled. I had to school my face as a smirk threatened to rise at the heated look Claire raked over my body.

"We'll take him from here," Jace responded.

"Let me get some clothes on and I'll follow you out," I sighed, walking into the closet to get a new suit. Glancing towards the digital clock on the nightstand I could have killed the intruder.

It was 2 fucking am in the damn morning, which meant I had about 3 hours of much needed rest. Growling lowly, I jerked my clothes on and grabbed the man on the floor before dragging him out of the room.

I followed them down the hall and into the elevator, dropping the man face first into the ground to lean against the wall.

My eyes traveled to Claire, who had yet to look at me again. My smirk threatened again at the thought. When the doors opened, Jace led us to the bar where he pushed a button under the counter causing the wall to move slightly.

He pushed on it and it opened into a long corridor, following him into the hallway we paused waiting for Claire to close the door behind us before we continued on. We walked to the end of the hallway before Jace opened another door.

The room was empty except for a single chair in the middle of the room, iron rods bent into the concrete floor on either side.

Jace left Claire and I in the room, dragging the man to the chair I lifted him up and sat him down. Holding his masked face up until Jace came in with 4 pairs of handcuffs.

I watched him attach two of them together before attaching one end to the man and the other to the iron rod in the floor, before beginning the process again to his other hand.

Letting go of his head he slouched forward, "let him sleep it off, well come back in the morning." Jace said as he walked back to the doorway.

Following them out and back to the elevator, I felt my rush of adrenaline subside and exhaustion hit ten fold. Leaning against the wall I felt my eyes start to close involuntarily.

"Nick?" I could hear Jace but he sounded far away.

"Hmm?" I questioned him trying to pry my eyes open.

"Damn, he needs sleep bad." I heard him comment, hid voice sounding further away.

"Maybe," came a soft reply before pain shot through my face. Snapping my eyes open and jerking away from the wall, I narrowed my eyes at the two of them.

"What the fuck?" I growled, I watched Jace begin to laugh and Claire begin to smirk.

"Go ahead and sleep in tomorrow," Jace replied as soon as the doors began to slid open.

"No, I want to question the asshole who woke me up." I growled out rubbing the side of my cheek.

"You can when you wake up, it's only fair since he tried getting in through your room." Came Jace's easy reply. "You need to get some sleep, I should have noticed it before but I've been distracted. Sleep, you can question him later."

Nodding my head and narrowing my eyes at Claire as she held her hand up and wiggled her fingers at me, I could see the pinkness to her pale skin and clenched my teeth.

Walking out of the elevator, a door opened and Bellamy stepped out in his boxers.

"Everything alright?" He asked rubbing his eyes and scratching at his chest.

"For now," Claire responded moving to his door and disappearing inside, I felt jealousy surge as Bellamy followed her in and shut the door.

Grinding my teeth, I walked to my room and scanned my key card before slamming the door shut. Leaning against the door, I closed my eyes as memories assaulted me.

Sighing I stood up and realized that sleep wasn't going to becoming anytime soon. Grabbing my shoulder holster and guns, I shoved them in their place. Taking my knives and their holsters, I placed them to my calves before opening my door and back to the room where we left the masked man.

"I figured you weren't going to go back to sleep."
