"I'm telling you, Sammy, this happened. I spent all night looking through every book I could think of and I couldn't find any mention of what happened," Dean grumbled, taking another large bite of two dollar preservative filled pie. Nothing ever tasted so good. "Couldn't find any lead on what the hell she was either."
"Dean are you sure you didn't just fall asleep at the wheel? I find it hard to picture you hitting the books all night." Sammy flipped through a stack of files, frowning at one. "Huh."
Dean pointed at him. "I know that 'huh', that's a 'I found something' noise."
His brother shrugged, flipping through the file. "I swear I've never seen this file before today." His eyebrows rose. "It's the case file of a pair of hunters from the 1860s."
"No way."
"Apparently, Lincoln and Booth staged an assassination so he could disappear. The two spent the rest of their lives hunting demons through the Midwest. That's crazy, Dean, that means you changed history."
"The abolition of slavery still passed, Lincoln still vanished, but Mary shouldn't have had to die."
"I don't know, Dean, from what you've told me, she might have been the reason he was killed the first go around." Sammy shrugged. "At least this time she went out a hero, and took down a big nasty with her."
"I still wonder what that woman was." Dean sighed.
"Think you'll ever see her again?"
"I hope not. I'm not the best choice for fixing history."
Sammy pursed his lips. "You can say that again."
"Bitch."
"Jerk."
