Huh. Weird. That went kind of, uh... unsual. Was it just you or did his text actually have a tone? Not like the usual sarcastic, playful tone... an actual upset one.

'Did I cross any boundaries..? Was I too flirty? Too clingy? I hope it isn't anything too bad..'

Serting your phone down, your heart starts to beat faster than usual. Which is unfortunately, from anxiety.

'Urgh... I'm getting nauseous... this js just like back then when my mom found a yaoi website open on my phone when I was 12. I really DON'T want to relive that feeling.'

You stare into the distance, the quiet atmosphere of your room being interrupted by Ryuk— your crow, perching himself on your desk, his head tilting in curiosity as he lightly pecks at your hand.

"I'm okay, Ryuk. Just thinking. This might either be just my paranoid state or the worst day of my life. The former, I hope."

You bring a hand up the lightly stroke his feathers with a finger, the said crow letting out tiny coos in delight.

'..I just hope it isn't anything too bad.'

The hallway had emptied out minutes ago, only the sound of distant footsteps, laughter— probably from his teammates echoing from the showers, and the low hum of the lights remained.

Ness stood there, alone as he glanced down on his phone with downcast eyes, the screen glowing faintly against his palm.

> come back soon okay?

Left on delivered.

His thumb pressed against the side button. The screen went dark.

Lit up again...

...then disappeared when he locked the phone once more.

His grip tightened slightly around the device before loosening again just as fast. He lowered his hand, slowly making his way to the showers with your message unanswered.

Finishing yet another painting, you diligently cleaned up the area and stored away your used art materials, leaving the painting out to dry.
