It opens with two mysterious adults in front of a TV screen displaying Akashi's battle with Ikumu's X egg.
Daigo: Did you see that? That kid is bad news for HUNTER.
Erika: Oh please! He's not that good. He is inexperienced. We could take him down with one single blow.
Daigo: I don't know about that. He seems pretty strong to me.
Erika: Would you stop being so pessimist? He only got his powers last week. The only reason he purified the X egg is because Atsuo was there. I suggest we attack him when he's alone.
Daigo: That's not a bad idea.
Erika: I know, right? That kid won't know what hit him.
(Theme song)
At Akashi's
It's a typical Monday morning, you know, Asumi and Kyo cooking breakfast, Atsuo reading the newspaper and Akashi slithering, literally, in the kitchen still in his PJs.
Akashi: GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE! GOOD MORNING HONORABLE FATHER, GOOD MORNING MY AMAZING MOTHER!
OK....maybe it's not that typical after all.
Atsuo: Did we flew into some kind of parallel universe?
Kyo: I hope not. I don't think I can stand chirpy Akashi. It's just too weird.
Akashi: Don't worry. I'm fine.
Asumi: Are you sure? Let me check your forehead.
Akashi: Giggling.
I'm not sick.
Kyo: Oh, I know what's going on. It's the day. Isn't it?
Akashi: Yup.
Atsuo: What day?
Akashi: It's....the day.
Atsuo: Oh, so you're keeping secrets from your old man now?
Akashi : Really, dad? You really wanna bring the "secrets" card? Because I think you use it pretty well.
Atsuo: Fair enough.
Akashi: OK fine. I'll tell you. Stop badgering me!
It's the day when I'm finally going to ask Rumi out.
Asumi: Awww! My little baby is growing up!
She says with an "I'm proud" tone.
Akashi: Mom, I'm not a baby anymore!
