David was the first to arrive followed by Aidan, then Molly, and then came Karli with Sarah Jane. Their group was small but tight nit and they always welcomed new comers, but most of them didn't stay long. There was nothing wrong with the group they had, just all of the new kids found boyfriends or girlfriends outside of the group. But then again, they were a little strange. Once everyone sat down Karli began to speak.
"Everyone this is Sarah Jane, but she said that we can call her SJ. SJ, this is David, Aidan, and Molly." Aidan and Molly were quick to say 'hi' but David just stared in awe. He finally got the words to come out of his mouth.
"H-hi, I'm David. Hope you enjoy lunch with us!" He spoke to her, 'ugh I'm so stupid.' He thought.
SJ laughed, 'even her laugh is perfect' David thought. "Thank you, I hope I enjoy lunch too!" She smiled and blushed. David did the same but unintentionally. Lunch flew by and David hardly ate a thing, Aidan punched his arm and asked "Are you ready for the game today! Coach is picking a new captain!" David snapped back to reality and chuckled.
"Yeah I am! I'm so excited to see who it is! It'll probably be Austin, he's been there for a while and he's really good." David said smiling. SJ chimed in.
"You guys play football?" She had curiosity in her eyes.
"Yeah! David is one of the best quaterbacks we have!" Aidan cheered. SJ smiled and laughed. "Do you ladies want to come to the game? It's home!" Aidan said. SJ agreed imidiately followed by Molly and Karli, David smiled this was his chance to impress her. David wanted this day to end so he could play and impress SJ.
"So what time is the game?" SJ asked.
"It starts at 7pm but I can come get you at like 6:30 so we can get Molly too." Karli stated. SJ agreed and then the bell rang. The rest of the day went quick for everyone except for David. He needed this day to end. And quickly.
