Chapter 3

Beep. Beep. Beep.

I hit the button on my alarm clock to stop the beeping, I got off my bed and went into the bathroom. After my shower, I got dressed in black leggings, a white crop top that read 'BAE WATCH'
I tied a grey hoodie around my waist and wore my black and white Nike sneakers, then put on my new glasses which looked exactly like the old one.

I didn't bother eating breakfast, I just kissed my mum goodbye and went to school.

As I got to my locker, Mandi came up to me.

"You know how to get to my house today so after school just wait for me there, I have things to do" she says

"You have things to do? And I don't?"

"I don't care, I said i'll meet you there" she said and walked away

I sighed and rolled my eyes.

During lunch, I ate alone and I was glad that Tyler didn't bother me today.

I went over to Mandi's house after school. I knocked on the door waiting for a reply.

The door opened and I saw Vince standing there, shirtless.

I couldn't help but stare at his bare chest.

"Hey" he said smiling

"Um hey, M-mandi told me wait here until she gets home but i-if you have a problem with it I can just go" I say in one breath and start picking my fingers like I usually do when I'm nervous

He chuckles "Calm down, I definitely don't have a problem with it" he says and smiles "come in"

I go inside and sit on the couch.

"Come over to the kitchen" he says

I walk into the kitchen and lean on the counter, he stands opposite me.

"Do you want a drink?" He asks

"No, thanks"

"Okay, so um tell me about your self" he tries to make a conversation

"Okay, um. My name's Savannah Star, I'm 17, I'm an only child and I'm a nerd with no social life" I said coldly

"Wow, um I didn't mean to get you upset"

" I'm not upset"

"You sound upset"

"Well I'm not" I snapped "I'm sorry, I just... I'm not used to this"

"I understand" he said, nodding

There was silence between us for a while, then he spoke up.

"You know you're kinda cute" he said smirk

I blushed really hard and let my hair fall to my sides so he won't see my blush. He steps closer to me and lifts my chin, we were both looking into each others eyes. He's looked so soft.

He put my hair behind my ear, and he was now so close to me ,I could feel his chest on mine

My heart was beating rapidly in my chest and I know he could feel it too.

"Um-"

"Mandi? Are you home yet?" We heard someone say behind us and he quickly moved away.

"Oh hello there" A woman said to me, I'm guessing that's their mum

"Hi" I replied

"Are you a friend of Vince?"

"Um no actually I'm in home ec class with Mandi and we have a project to work on so she told me to wait for her" I say quickly

"Oh so you're Mandi's friend" she says, then gives Vince a disappointed look.

"Uh, yeah I guess"

"Well nice to meet you ..."

"Savannah" I smile "you too"

"I'll go call Mandi's and ask her where she is" she says and walks out of the kitchen

I look over at Vince and he smiles I get nervous again and start picking my fingers

"She said she would be home by ten, she probably forget about meeting you here" Mrs. Cafrey said walking into the kitchen again.

"Oh okay, I should probably get going"

I got home after work, and just collapsed on my bed and went to sleep.
